Automating models is a platform that will provide the user the facility to generate 3D models of their desired object
from (images or videos). A 3D model will only be generated if the relevant wire-frame model already exists. This
will minimize the time consumption, cost, resources and rendering process. The system will involve
photogrammetry, image processing (to detect object), feature extraction, storing wire-frame models and database.
In order to accomplish this project, we would require an input (either image or video) according to our conditions.
On the other hand some risks are also involved in this process e.g. Object Identification, Texture Mapping and High
Specifications System and we are conquering them by making certain conditions on which camera must take the
input (either image or video) from certain angels and with appropriate lighting conditions this will supportive for
Object Identification, will utilize certain algorithms for Texture Mapping and can utilize cloud solutions to solve
High Specifications System problem.
We will make this possible by utilizing Agile process model. Because of its iterative nature and quick turn of events
and giving us adaptability over any potential changes. Some tools and technologies that are involved in this are
Python, Blender Plugin, Android Application, Desktop Application and Camera. And the estimated time for
completing this undertaking project will be 8 months. We’ll work daily for 4 hours so estimated effort in hour will be
around 640 hours collectively.

Project Objectives

A platform that will automate the process of modeling. The user will provide an input (either
image or video) by following our conditions and our platform will create the model if the
relevant wireframe exists. Our goal is to reduce the cost, time, resources and the rendering
process.

Project Implementation Method

We will use Agile process model. Due to its iterative nature and rapid development. Providing
us flexibility over any possible changes.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Deliverables produced
• Object Detection Model: The classifier would be trained with a dataset of common object in order to
increase the efficiency of object detection.
• Adding wireframes model to database.
• Mapping texture on wireframe: Our system will have the ability to map texture on relevant wireframe.
• 3D model: A 3D model will be formed
• Providing .STL file: Our system will provide .STL file that can further be utilized in further projects like
Augmented Reality, Gaming, 3D printing, interior designing, and architecture.
