Automatic Storage and Retrieval System
Storage and retrieval is the function which is necessary for every warehouse, factories, and industries. Automatic Storage and Retrieval System is important in a way that it makes the storage and retrieval operation efficient and reliable. This project is about increasing the efficiency of warehouse operation by automating it. It includes a prototype of ASRS having special mechanism responsible for storing or retrieving the bins from a smart rack. With the help of conveyor in, the bin will be picked for storing purpose and by conveyor out, the bin will be dropped. The operation elements of ASRS includes; pickup, drop-off, storing and retrieving. The ASRS prototype works in three dimensions; horizontal, vertical and z-axis to save time and reduce the labor cost. In this project, we have designed, built, calibrated and tested the prototype.
Design and build a prototype of ASRS; deciding the equipment and their ratings, designing the system, building and finally operation.
To get the robotic approach for storage of goods in an efficient manner, and smartly allocate tasks, and to understand the practical implementation of theoretical ideas.

Limit switches used to indicate the home position of the three-dimensional lift.
