Project Summary

There were a lot of problems occurs in this project when we researched about it. One of them is, Manual Student Attendance Management system is a process where a teacher concerned with the particular subject need to call the students name and mark the attendance manually. Manual attendance may be considered as a time-consuming process or sometimes it happens for the teacher to miss someone or students may answer multiple times on the absence of their friends. So, the problem arises when we think about the traditional process of taking attendance in the classroom. To solve all these issues, we go with Automatic Class Attendance System (ACAS). Automated Class Attendance System (ACAS) is a process where each student will login their id and mark present. Automatic Class Attendance System(ACAS) have some features but two are major features, one of them is QR code, why will we use this QR code? We use QR code to verify students are present in class. Second futures are face recognize, now why will we use this feature? We use face recognize to verify that actual student marks their attendance not his friends

Project Objectives

1. Design and implementation of Mobile Application and Web application.
2. Student can view attendance through application.
3. To verify the correct student mark their own attendance used face recognition and QR code scanner.

Project Implementation Method

Analysis:

• We will research different library for Face recognition or QR code scanner.
• We will research on how to make our application user-friendly.

Design:

• We will design the ERD, and other relevant diagrams before starting the implementation.
• We will design User Interface of our application.

Development:

• We will design and implement the database.
• We will start the implementation of our application.

Testing:

We will test all the components of our application.

The system will be designed for student and teacher in the University.

Student easily can mark their attendance and view their attendance.

Benefits for Teacher:

Teacher don’t take manual attendance process that take too much time. So this app is timing saving for teacher.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This web application will show the publicly available camera to the user and hosting users can change their camera from public to private

For the development of our web portal, we will use JavaScript in frontend , Firebase for Database of our portal
