Accident is one of the major reasons of killing people all over the world. One of the main cause of people dying are due to drivers mistake and inefficient response systems of ambulances or fire brigade especially in context of Pakistan in general and Balochistan province in particular. One of the major causes is hard to detect the exact location by these services when an accident occurs. There is a need to have an effective road accident detection and information communication system in place to save injured persons. A system that sends information messages to nearby emergency services about the accident location for timely response. These systems can overcome casualties due to severe injuries caused by road accidents by insuring quick alert to the emergency departments. Our project is to design a prototype of such a system based on Arduino. The focus is on accidents occuring on main RCD Quetta to Karachi highway.
1. To desgin an Arduino based Accident alert and response system for Arduino.
2. To implement the designed system for accident detection and altert system.
1. Literature review shall be done to find methods fo accident detection in third world countires.
2. Selction of regiuired hardware and software shall be done based on ltierature review.
3. Ardunio based system shall be develped based on hardware and programming using relevant software. A buzzer system will be there for cautioning and other related activities.
4. In the final stage, developed hardware and its integrated software prototype shall be implemented on main RCD road data to find the outcome for future work and analysis.
1. Quick response system which might help in reducing accidents in context of Balochistan road networks.
2. Saving of life.
3. Promotion of careful driving and alert system
4. Basic road safety data analyais for futur research and high level system design.
The final deliverable shall be an integrated hardware and software system.
The system shall be installed in major raod and monitoring through digital screen shall be done in integration with hardware.
In this regard, simple Mobile Application is also under consideration.
