Project Summary

The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced the concept of social distancing to many across the world. The majority of people today wear masks and try to keep a 6-foot distance from one another. To fight this Virus our Doctors, nurses, sweepers, and all paramedical staff are front-line warriors.

As health workers, researchers and governments struggle to contain the spread of the pandemic that has infected more than 7,00,000 medical staff out of which 30,000 have died. So we got an idea that we will develop a Multitasking self-control autonomous robot to reduce human efforts. We will use this robot in covid quarantine centers and hospitals.

This Robot will be used to deliver meals to all the patients who are infected from Covid so in that case, we will be able to save the precious lives of our paramedical staff Like (Nurses, the ones who are responsible to serve meals and medicines).

Moreover, as we mention this will be a multi-tasking robot so it also contains autonomous disinfecting spray functionality. This robot will be able to disinfect all the quarantine centers and hospitals.

In conclusion, this robot helps in serving foods, medicines/disinfecting functionality. This robot reduces human efforts and saves many precious lives of non-technical paramedical staff. This robot will increase the safety and quality of health care systems compared to manual systems due to the digitalization of health care.

Project Objectives

The main objective is to make a Self-control Autonomous Robot that is capable to solve all the problems who have close contact with patients of the coronavirus and used to deliver food/medicine and disinfecting spray in quarantine centers and hospitals.

Our project will mainly focus on the following objectives:

1: To detect whether there is an obstacle in its way or not, if there is an obstacle so avoid it as early as it reaches close to it.

2: To protect itself from an obstacle by measuring a special distance.

3: To protect our nontechnical paramedical staff and there are no human efforts or interaction in quarantine centers and hospitals.

4: The Robot will be capable of disinfecting functionality.

5: The main objective is to avoid all human efforts and human interaction in quarantine centers and hospitals.

1: Hardware Making

  • Soldering and frame making for Robot
  • Maintain the torque and velocity of the Servo motor

2: Configuring Arduino Mega

3: Configuring Ultra Sonic Sensor

4: Configuring IR Sensor

5: Configuring Electric Nozzle for Disinfecting Spray

1: Distance Recognition

  • Writing an algorithm for distance recognition
  • Writing an algorithm for Obstacle
  • Testing Robot with Obstacles

2: Setup Pump and tubes for disinfecting liquid

3: Setup the Buzzer for alerts

Benefits of the Project

  • This Robot will go inside quarantine centers and hospitals to serve food/medicine to Covid patients.
  • It will also do the disinfecting spray in the affected area and the best part is each and everything will be done autonomously.
  • It will also help our front line covid warriors and health workers to decrease the human interfreance.
