Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryThe project is focused on protection of EOD Warrior Robot. For accomplishment of this task, Kevlar composites were selected and simulations have been performed to study the impact of bullet on Kevlar sheets. Optimized thickness and composite configuration were selected and experimental tests have been performed for validation of computational results which included live bullet testing of AK-47 gun on kevlar sheet. Specified sheets can now be used for protection of Warrior Robot against AK-47 bullet with an additional benefit of 80% reduction in weight of warrior Robot. This directly affects the maneuverability, speed and maximum payload capacity of warrior robot

- Bullet proof jackets As the panels are light and can easily be lifted by normal person so they be used in bullet proof jackets. The panels are completely effective against the pistol so it can be used as personal protection in street crimes
