Automatic blender for mixing of sugar mill waste for fuel briquettes
Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryThe Automatic blender for mixing of sugar mill waste for fuel briquettes manufacturingis made for the reprocessing of sugar mill waste material (like bagasse, ash and press mud) to a fuel source. Automation of a mixer will lead to reducing hard manual work in a simplified one touch task. It will provide sequential flow of process and the indication of the tasks in the HMI. It is a chain of projects first part is the mixer then the mixture is moved to Brequtte machine then to Dryer. This project is made for Mehran Sugar Mills.
Project ObjectivesThe main objective of this project is to recycle the waste product of Mehran Sugar Mills Ltd. to a non-renewable energy source.
This project aims to be very economical as it is capable of producing 6 billion rupees per day for the industry.
The time is very precious for an industry. This machine is very efficient in terms of time.
Machine is capable of mixing about 200 kg material per hour.
The fully automated system reduces the human effort.
Project Implementation MethodThere are three gates at the input of the mixer (three separate gates for the different materials), each gate contains a load cell.
After weighing the material in a proportion on each gate, the material will automatically flow into the container and shows indication.
Then user input will be required the start the process.
Motor will automatically stops after 15 minutes.
This enables the production of 50kg mixture in 15 minutes.
The output will be the input of the briquette machine.
Benefits of the ProjectRecycling the unwanted waste material of the sugar mills.
By automating the process the production is increased otherwise the mixing process was done manually with a lot of human effort.
Production of 50kg mixture in 15 minutes, Thus in one hour approximately 200kg will be produced.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableFinal hardware will consist of:
- Delta PLC (16 inputs, 12 outputs)
- Puma HMI (7 inch)
- Load cell (20 kg)
- 3 hp Motor (3 phase)
- 3 hp VFD (3 phase)
- Temp sensor module (04 TC-S)
- Load cell module (201LC-SL)
