The days have gone by when workers slumped over uncomfortable and poorly designed desks for hours to the end. Now, intelligent furniture adjusts to our individual requirements, both at home and in the workplace. And the new technology has a lot more to offer than just automatic height adjustment, the newest smart tables are packed with features explicitly designed to make our working lives simpler. Table has features such as an integrated induction based drink heater to keep your tea or coffee hot on your table, a wireless mobile charger, A mic and a speaker for voice based personal assistant that can talk to you and can also perform various tasks for example sending an email or playing some music, a smart biometric verification locking device to keep your belongings secure in office when you're not around your table and last but not the least height adjustment so that you can adjust the table to the height you want.
One of the most thought processes behind this work is the point of making a commitment towards fulfilling the technological needs of smart table users by designing a cost effective, user friendly, helpful table with an economic and functional feasibility that would empower them to make strides their quality of office life. Keen table is the requirements of nearly each office person who need to form the stack of their work less and offer assistance them with security so that their information and possessions are secure with them. We are motivated to serve and test our skills and make maximum use of our engineering knowledge for the betterment of the world, to make the life of these people and office more accessible and to provide them more opportunity.
Project Objectives• We chose this fingerprint sensor because now a days nothing is totally secure. Lock will be picked and passwords will be guessed sooner. so as to secure our system we chose finger print based verification. We used fingerprint for biometric identification.
• Sit-Stand Adjustable office tables are becoming more and more popular throughout the workplace due to their advantages and benefits. The advantages of an adjustable standing desk are likely to be noticed immediately; the height of these active office desks can be varied allowing the user to switch from sitting to standing with ease.
• An assistant helps employees with time and management. The role of personal assistant can be varied such as play song and emailing.
• we are offering wireless charging station on our table that can integrate with almost all types of cell phones, no matter the shape and size of it’s charging socket making it easier for keeping the employees connected and to increase productivity.
• While working in an office, having optimum amount of light is very necessary. Often the employees tend to work late or after office hours hence having a personal light lamp fixed on the desk comes handy for such purposes.
The system starts with biometric verification of the user using a fingerprint sensor module that scans the fingerprint of the user and matches it with the ones stored in the database if both are matched the system will unlock and the HMI will display buttons for controlling other features like hot pad, lamp, wireless charging, height adjustment and personal assistant. Considering them one by one, the personal assistant will be programmed in such a way that it recognizes the commands given to it through a microphone and it will perform the relevant task. For height adjustment we’re using linear actuators and relay with our microcontroller, the controller will give the signal to relay to control the movement of motors. Lamp is used to efficiently manage the light intensity that is required by using a light dependent resistance sensor that senses the light in the environment. The hot pad is controlled through relay and the controller. For wireless charging we’re using ACS712 (current sensor) will read the value of current flowing into the wireless charger and then when current is in mile Amps the controller will stop the supply that is powering wireless charger through a relay.
For the case when the employees leave their offices in a hurry forgetting to put the important documents away in a safe place or even leave their phones on charge or simply forget to turn off their personal computers or in the case when someone else sits on your desk and tries to access your data, for such events we have introduced a way to save power consumption by implementing a smart locking system which would sense the absence of the employee and automatically lock the whole system. We’ll be using a sensor which will sense the presence of the person and after 5 mins of inactivity is will send the signal to the controller which would turn off all the activities on the desk.

• From the health point of view the people who have problems like Osteoporosis, Anaemia, Iron deficiency and Handicapped often face difficulties in accomplishing office task and they are not quite able to move to around the office keeping all these points in mind we are putting forward a table which has all the important features that are required by the office employees such as Wireless charging, Smart lamp, Smart lock system, Biometric system, Smart heater, Personal assistant and Height adjustment.
