Pakistan is an emerging economy and as such is still finding its way around the daily challenges and problems of today. One of the major problems faced by Pakistan today are the rapidly rising vehicular accidents. These accidents mostly lead to dire consequences and worst of all, 90% of them are left unresolved. This causes inconvenience in the society and eventually leads to discord in the society. Our project aims to erase the inconvenience and the eventual discord it may cause. Our project records the events and bodily characteristics of the car leading up to the accident, it basically logs all the characteristic data. This data then can be used by the authorities to figure out about the culprits behind the accident via basic deductive skills. Our project will help make their interrogation easy. Our project will also enable the user to carry out dynamic testing of their car “on the go”. In Pakistan, this concept is vague and has little to no product market. But in the international society, it is being implemented as a “must to have” device in order to gain car insurance. The project consists of a raspberry pi centrally located underneath the Steering wheel, covered in a shock absorbent box, attached with a MPU-6050 INS chip and an OBD cable.

Project Objectives

* Record Travel data via OBD port of a car in hex form

* Conversion of hex data to simple data

* Arrange the data in a simple,tabular form readable by all

* Carve out simulations with the help of the recorded data

* Use all the simulations and data for Vehicle Dynamic Testing and other black box features etc.
