This project is just a small step in an effort to develop a foolproof security system, free of glitches and capable of quick and efficient detection of different types of motions. This project has huge future prospects. There have been a lot of cases of the army leaving mines in area and later the mines causing injuries to civilians even after the areas have been declared secured, if our system is made more compact and robust it can be easily spread out in an area through a helicopter or plane to form a network automatically and provide surveillance without risking human lives.
This project provided our team with a great research and learning opportunity. Extensive testing of the sensors in different environments was carried out to find out and rule out corner cases. The project was done in a systematic fashion moving from research, to testing and finally to implementation. In the final design of the project, the sensors and controller will be integrated together in to a durable box to make sure that everything remained intact and functioned properly. The final product will be able to differentiate between vehicles, humans or animal motion without false alarms. The communication will be done through the IoT cloud server which will allow us to monitor the system from anywhere by accessing the internet. The node will able to make detections for distances up to 100 feet, with ranges going up to higher distances in more stable environments. In conclusion, this project has immense scope and applications in the future. The project when completed can be used as a base for further research in this area, which could lead to a much more robust and efficient system then the one we designed.
Keeping in view the current world situation regarding defense needs is an important thing for any nation. The AI based Smart Early Warning System is a quick and efficient solution for securing any area where an army platoon can set up camp or even a more permanent border-like position. The idea behind this system is to provide the ability of our army to secure any area with minimal resources and to reduce the chances of human errors.
Although there are many solutions available in the market for this type of security, our system is not only efficient and error-free but also cost-effective. This project addresses needs in a suitable manner.
AI based Smart Early Warning System is a small system which is lightweight, small field devices like sensors used to detect a human, vehicle or animal's motion. These field devices are also integrated through the vibrations coming from the target with Geophone sensors for real time data processing. A sensor box that includes two sensors (Magnetometer and Doppler Raddar Sensor) and a microcontroller was used. These sensors give us different values, which are sent to the cloud server and processed using algorithms for Machine Learning.
Eventually, the data will be processed at the cloud server and sent by central desktop control as well as mobile android app to the user, which can be monitored and controlled. Because of the outcome of the Machine-learning algorithm, a alert is generated by which remedial measures are taken.
The most common way to implement such a system is using Nodes (Field Devices) consisting of different sensors and to communicate with those nodes using IoT techniques. These nodes are consist of different sensors and a micro-controller. These nodes are also integerated with the Geophone sensors to take the vibrations cooming from the target. All the data will be send to the cloud server where the machine learning algorithms will be applied to that data and respective alarms and warning will be generated. All the nodes communicate with each other through the internet. IoT techniques are applied to the system so that real time fast processing can be done. To provide the power supply to the whole system, solar panels are integerated with these nodes and also the batteries are used as a backup power supply. At day time the system will be running on the solar power and at night the batteries will be used. For the monitoring of this whole process, login page is beig created and GUI for 24 hours monitering of the system. For the mobbility of the system, an andriod app will also be created to monitor the system from anywhere through accessing the internet. This system will give a huge advantage to our armed forces to take the actions against any thread within the time.
AI based Smart early warning system is needed that will provide increased coverage and surveillance of areas that cannot be observed by line of sight devices such as ground surveillance radar, thermal sights, and light intensification sights. The main benefits of our project are:
