Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject Summary“Voice Controlled Smart Assistance for Disables” is Voice Controlled Home Automation system for People with Disabilities and it helps disabled people even the blind to control the home appliances. It is the future of home automation. This method is more efficient and cheaper than other existing methods. The disable users can control the home through our Smart App. This can be made available in the market by making it more compact. This product will be helpful for those people who are physically disabled or those who are bed ridden to control the home appliances without thehelp of other.
Project ObjectivesThe motivation behind the Application is to enhance the self-dependency of disables which makes them satisfied by improving their capability of doing things and to provide them a better lifestyle like normal human beings. To encourage responsible authorities and our Smart Application to help solve problems and emerging issues relating to persons with disabilities, to disseminate information about the organization& activities, projects and their results.
Project Implementation MethodThe system has two parts, namely; hardware and software. The hardware system consists of Arduino UNO board, and home appliances. The software system consists of a java based android application also Arduino language is used to configure the Arduino UNO board. These hardware components are used in order to control the home appliances. Arduino UNO board will help to develop an interface between the hardware and the software application. This system also consists of a software application which is developed using android. The Bluetooth module will help in transmitting and receiving the input given by the
user.
The concept of this project is cost effective, user friendly and also reduces wiring cost. It also saves the time for users. In this voice controlled home automation system, the major challenge is to overcome the problems with distant voice command and speech recognition in the noisy environment and to increase the overall efficiency of the system

Hardware Requirements :
The mandatory hardware equipment required by the project are below:
1. Bluetooth enabled android phone (android > 4.0)
An Android phone is a powerful, high-tech smartphone that runs on the Android operating system (OS) developed by Google and is used by a variety of mobile phone manufacturers.
2. Arduino UNO
An Arduino is an open source microcontroller development board. In this paper the Arduino Uno Board used consists of 14 digital input/output pins, 6 analog input/output pins and one serial port. Embedded C is used to program the
controller.
3. Bluetooth Module HC-05
HC-05 Bluetooth module which has an operating frequency of 2.4 to 2.485GHz and a coverage region of 30 feet is used. Initially a password enabled method is used to pair the Bluetooth module with a mobile phone.
4. Relay
In this projecta relay is used for controlling the load like on/off operation Relay driver consist of NPN transistor and electromagnetic relay.
5. Jumper Wires
Jumper Wire is an electrical wire, or group of them in a cable, with a connector or pin at each end which is normally used to interconnect the components of a breadboard or other prototype or test circuit, internally or with other equipment or components.
6. Bread board
A breadboard is a solder less device for temporary prototype with electronics and test circuit designs.
