Project Summary

This project targets the basic problem of people who wear glasses and buy them from physical stores. That is time-consuming, on the other hand, people can also buy glasses online but without checking and testing them. Creating a platform or an application which takes facial points and augments glasses on a person's face. After that, a person can buy the glasses online easily and without any worry. The project was undertaken after observing this gap, to fill this gap Visulo Try On is going to bridge this gap. Using facial recognition and augmented reality this project will find its way to completion.

Project Objectives

  • Connecting and filling the gap between the buyer and the glasses seller, through our platform.
  • Visulo Try On is going to augment glasses on customer's face, so he/she can check it before buying it.
  • Share it with friends to get a second opinion.
  • Easy and carefree transaction.

Project Implementation Method

We are going to use python language with other software like OpenCV, DLib Library, My SQL and we are going to use Atom as our platform for the coding and integration of multiple features.
Using state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning algorithms.

Benefits of the Project

Visulo Try On is going to benefit both glasses vendors and the glasses users, who buy them. This will allow the customer to test the glasses on the face before buying it. Moreover, Visulo Try On will help the vendors to grow their business online by using our augmented reality glasses application. hence benefitting the customers and the vendors at the same time.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final deliverable of this project will be a web-based application. An e-commerce platform, through which a customer can log in, augment, buy glasses and use other services on our website. Vendor or client-side information of glasses and frames will be updated via the admin portal.
