Shopper is a person who is buying things from a shop. There are currently two ways of shopping:
• online shopping: allows people to shop anytime, anywhere, and of course with no boundaries between countries.
• Traditional shopping: you can try on clothes, You can check the material, You can see the design from close, You get the product immediately after you pay.
We found that people only go into a dressing room once and get undressed once. If they can’t get the right size and if it does not suit on them and they leave the dressing room. It’s very hard to get people to go back into the dressing room a second time.
This system is designed to help shoppers to virtually try on clothes or other accessories(hat, purse glasses etc) before paying. They can try garments as many times they want, and they are free from the proximity to Physical trial room, Users can see their front and back view after wearing.
Project Objectives
-user can virtually try on various clothes or other accessories as many times they want.
-They don’t have to do the effort of physically changing them every time.
-They can simply swipe the accessories displayed on the screen.
-Application also assists them decide what looks good on them
Project Implementation Method
It is a desktop application which uses depth sense Kinect camera to detect user’s body joints and motion.
- -Software like blender will be used to create 3D models
- And unity 3D for creating the application using 3D models.
• Unity can be operated on Windows and Mac OS platforms and can produce game for Windows, Mac, Linux, Wii, iPad, iPhone, Google Android and also browser. Unity 3D support programming languages such as JavaScript, C # and Boo. Unity 3D have GUI Interface that is easy to understand and very user friendly
Benefits of the Project- Extraction of user to create an augmented reality environment combined with Kinect by isolating the user and superimposing it onto a virtual environment in the user interface through implementing augmented reality. The 3D locations of the joints will be used for positioning, scaling and rotation in order to align the 2D.
- People look for easiness and by using this app they will be able to try out clothes virtually without doing the headache of physically changing the clothes every time.
-The system can be incorporated with e-commerce business. The application can be registered to AppStore or somewhere similar to it from where people can easily download and use.
-We may install this application in a shopping mall where people can try on garments.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
-System identifies the position of user when they stand still in front of depth sense camera and virtually embed garments and accessories on them using augmented reality.
-Based on the effective object extraction ability of Kinect, our system can analyze the identification and position of persons accurately and effectively.
-The system will contain several categories to shop for that are hats, watches, spectacles, shirts, pants, dresses. The system will provide user with standard sizes are available for garments i.e. small, medium and large.
