Project Summary

The Vidulum Advanced Wallet is a mobile device which provides basic necessity of everyday person and makes human life easier by reducing the number of each device. Vidulum Advanced Wallet facilitates in circumstances like, Low phone charge, Wi-Fi unavailability and lost/stolen wallet. Carrying an each device individually for a specific purpose is considered a hassle and less likely a practical solution. It’s smart system induced in wallet which could efficiently use the resources provided in daily life in such a way that they are integrated in a single hardware form. It would be mobilize and easy to carry hence reduce human efforts.

The wallet provide following features:

• Wi-Fi Hotspot to access internet connection.
• Wireless charging through magnetic coil.
• Charging wired connector for Android phones.
• GPS Module for tracking location of wallet.If the wallet gets out of bluetooth connectivity range, through phone notification user can turn the wallet in lost mode.
• A camera module for face detection and theft detection when in lost mode.

Project Objectives

Often times people, forget and lose wallet in public places, need Wi-Fi availability or a power bank. In order to solve this problem, we chose to design The Vidulum Advanced Wallet. It would be a multipurpose and commercially used wallet that will satisfy necessities of everyday person. The Vidulum Advanced Wallet will have features to go along and provide instant service that helps the person in circumstances like low phone battery, stolen or lost wallet, and unavailability of Wi-Fi whenever away from home.

Following are some salient features that were main objective of this project:

• Maximum security
• Theft protection
• Low maintenance
• Low cost
• Compact size

Project Implementation Method

Following are the components embedded in the project's system to perform the briefed tasks.

1. ASUS 3000 MAH 3.7V LI-PO BATTERY.

• 3 Thin Li-Po batteries are being used for project power and wired/wireless charging

      2. WIRELESS CHARGING MODULE.

• 0.8A OR 800 mA, 10 turns, 3 Hrs. to charge a 2100mah phone.

     3. ZONG 4G DEVICE.

• Provides the fastest connection for speeds up to 4MBPS also, best for uploading image from microcontroller to the cloud.

     4. RASPBERRY PI ZERO.

• Is our main controller for the project because of its speed and incredible support for the camera. It has built-in Bluetooth BLE 4.0 and a wifi hotspot, that is being used. 

      5. RASPBERRY PI CAMERA MODULE

• This Raspberry Pi night vision camera uses the same OV5647 as the standard Raspberry Pi camera, and is therefore able to deliver a crystal clear 5MP resolution image, or 1080p HD video recording at 30fps! 2 x 3W high-power 850 infrared LEDs: Onboard photoresistor to detect ambient light.

      6. GPS MODULE SIM 900A.

• Used for gps tracking.

Benefits of the Project

The project of desiging and integrating components for Vidulum Advaned Wallet has many benefits in the commercial market because:

• It provides maximum security that is needed to gaurd debit cards/ credit cards, certain documents (e.g Cnic card, driving lisence, reciepts etc)
• Low maintenance cost 
• Charging wireless/wired if one outside (market, college, tour) and running out of phone battery.
• Wi-Fi hotspot availibility in time of urgency 
• GPS tracking of wallet displayed on phone application 
• Reduces human efforts to carry individual product in hand.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final deliverable project has multiple modules embedded in a singular & compact hardware. 

Following are the technical details of each feature.

• Built-in powerbank fully charges smart phone on the go. Works both wirelessly and with a cable cord. 
• Wi-Fi hotspot to ensure you have internet connection, while travelling.
• Global GPS to secure wallet from loss or thieves. Tracking of wallet will be shown on phone application of authority in real-time. A notification would be sent on authority’s mobile phone to indicate whether all the modules should turn into lost mode or not.
• Pi zero with night vision camera to capture the image of anyone else except authority. The Trigger Hall Effect sensor would break in order to capture the picture. This effect will only be activated under certain circumstances e.g whenever mobile phone will lose Bluetooth connectivity with wallet, it will cause the sensor to click image instantly.  After that, through Wi-Fi availability image would be sent on cloud so authorize person can view it in application provided.
