Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThe project V-DOC (vehicle doctor) is designed through the idea of maintaining the individual vehicle in a hassle free manner. This vehicle maintenance application will help in regular maintenance of a vehicle, increasing the life expectancy of the vehicle, basically inspired by the leading car brands technologies like Rolls Royce, Bentley Motors and Volks Wagon as they provide application with their cars with every intricate details. Therefore, to provide these facilities to local public this application is being developed, making vehicle maintenance hassle free. You can register your vehicle in the application and a tracker installed in the vehicle will be linked to this application. The tracker will save the user information and all of its vehicle details including the mileage of the vehicle in the database connected to the application. Hence, upon recording the mileage of the vehicle the application will notify the user to either change that particular thing or get it checked. For example, after 3000 km it will pop up a notification to change engine fluid and after 15000 km it will notify the user to change spark plugs or after 40000 km a push notification to change tires will appear.
Project ObjectivesThe software described in this SRS is the software for a complete “V-doc Application”. The system merges various hardware and software elements and further interfaces with external systems. Thus, while the software covers the majority of the system's functionality, it relies on a number of external interfaces for persistence and unhandled tasks, as well as physically interfacing with humans. This application is set to be launched in Karachi in its initial stage, which will be further expanded to different cities across the country.
Project Implementation Method- Register vehicle in app
- Enter mileage after registering
- Install tracker in car to note its mileage
- Maintain database
- App will notify after recording mileage to change:
a. Engine fluid
b. Brake fluid
c. Gear fluid
d. Power steering fluid
e. Spark plugs change
f. Battery change
g. Wheel alignment
h. Tyre change

Install tracker in vehicle and then integrate the tracker with the application through database. Runtime mileage of the vehicle is noted which will then generate notification and then the user will have to act upon it.
