Project Summary

Tourism plays a crucial part in strengthening the economy, which helps the  country as more cash is created, resulting in more job possibilities. The tourism business in Pakistan is not as developed as it is in many other nations, but the government is implementing new laws to boost tourism in the country. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, travel and tourism contributed US$7.6 billion (PKR 793.0 billion) to Pakistan's GDP in 2016, accounting for 2.7 percent of overall GDP. Tourism is expected to contribute Rs1 trillion (US$7.1 billion) to the Pakistani economy by 2025, according to the government. To reach this purpose, there is a need for technology-based truism assistance to assist visitors in motivating and planning their visits.

Many new visitors find it difficult to travel on their own without any knowledge about the places which might be of their interest. Moreover, visitors find it difficult to even travel in cities on their own. Tourismo is an android based mobile application which is basically a travel guide for tourists in Pakistan and is being developed to solve this issue. It will provide a platform that offers services for Travel Planning, Tour Packages provided by travel agency companies, City travel guidance, and registering as a travel guide. Tourists can either book for themselves a city guide or travel agency package depending on their need. The app is designed to offer tourists to look up different exotic locations in the country, easy access to travel packages and hear reviews from other tourists about the travel agencies and their packages and experience of others with a particular city guide. Tourists can book tours with travel agencies when they want to visit far off places such as breathtaking mountainous regions or some culturally rich location in interior Sindh or the upcoming tourist attraction in Kalar kahar valley or Book city guides when they want a guide to visit the famous places in a city such as the famous street food places or city landmarks.

 The app also includes an option to register as city guides who will take tourists around their city and help them visit and enjoy the famous places that are mostly known only by the residents of the city. The application will be designed to help to boost Pakistan’s tourism industry. This application can also become a source of income for people in Pakistan who are interested in becoming a travel guide for visitors within a particular city.

Project Objectives

1. Our proposed App. will facilitate visitors with travel guidance and solve the issue of finding a travel guide, planning a trip and city tour.
2. It offers services for Travel Planning, Tour Packages provided by travel agency companies, City travel guidance, and registering as an individual counselor for travel guide.
3. Our application will brings together travel agencies, city guides and tourists on one platform providing tourists with the opportunity to find their guide to the city and plan their trips with travel agencies.
4. Our proposed system will also provide immediate healthcare in any emergency situation. The visitors will be able to find out nearest healthcare service providers through this App.

Project Implementation Method

1. In our App. We will use meteor framework.
2. We will use JavaScript and Node.js for back-end languages. Node.js is an open-source, cross-platform, back-end JavaScript runtime environment that runs on the V8 engine and executes JavaScript code outside a web browser.
3. We will use HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. Bootstrap is a free and open-source CSS framework directed at responsive, mobile-first front-end web development. It contains HTML, CSS and JavaScript based design templates for typography, forms, buttons, navigation, and other interface components.
4. Whole the network will be connected through the MongoDB database. There would be two types of accounts. New user and service provider. User have to register for using different type of services through this App.

5. MongoDB is a Source-available cross-platform document-oriented database program. NoSQL database program, MongoDB uses JSON-like documents with optional schemas.

6. Location and destination including navigation all the things will be used through Restful API. Whereas the RESTful API is a HTTP API which can be used any platform Web, Android, IOS.
7. RESTful API will allow showing the location of service provider and specific restaurant to the user or tourist. Location and all the navigation will be provided to the tourist by using this application programming interface.

Benefits of the Project

1. Our Proposed App. will provide a source of communication between different services that are working on the same mission. It will increase efficiency and will create awareness among people for using technology in the best way as it should be used.
2. Our proposed App. will play a virtual role in boosting up the economy which in turn benefits the country as the income is generated more and results in employment opportunities.
3. The App. will be an android based mobile application which is basically a travel guide for tourists in Pakistan and is being developed to solve this issue.
4. It will provide a platform that offers services for Travel Planning, Tour Packages provided by travel agency companies, City travel guidance, and registering as a travel guide.
5. Proposed App. will reduce time consumption and cost.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Final deliverable will be an android-based application.

Keeping these things in mind, a unique way to increasing tourist spot advertisements/branding should be designed. There might be various techniques to tackling this, and here are some proposals that we believe are among the few options; nonetheless, the possibilities are vast, and it simply needs to be investigated more. The primary purpose of the suggested solution should be to provide a system that focuses on cooperation for content sourcing for destination branding.

User accounts will be divided into two sorts.

1. Administrator
2. User
3. Provider of services

Our app will reveal the location of the site as well as images of the location. There will be a photo of the location, the name of the location, and a description of the location.

Our app will provide contact Information of the service will also be included in the post. Once the post is published all the users who have a tourist account can see the post. All the users who have tourist people account can navigate to the location of the service provider.

The person who is demanding the services through his post can update or delete that post.

Our App. will provide location of the places, budget planning of complete tour like restaurant bookings, total expenses for home to tourist area and tourist area to back home.

Our App. will Provide information about weather, like what type of weather and what type of clothes we carry during tour for the tourist our App. provides complete customized budget planning for the tourist.

A self-deriver or a user will also bi use our services like city guide, restaurant information, weather and plan a successful tour. After adding these details user would have to add his location which will be based on RESTful API.    

Our App. will provide Security – Medical, Emergency calling & Information about local & international health agencies.

One of the most enticing features of the travel & tourism industry our App. is that you can easily book your dream destination with one click by just sitting at home. The entire booking process for all arrangements can be done under a single roof, which is a prime reason for holiday lovers to cling to our mobile App. It includes booking tickets, hotel reservations, booking cabs, choosing destinations, exploring local places and more.
