The blind people will able to move from one place to another without others help, which leads to increase autonomy for the blind. The developed intelligent stick that is included with multiple sensors will help in navigating the way while walking and keep alarming the person if any sign of danger or inconvenience is detected. The developed prototype gives good results in detecting obstacles placed at distance in front of the user; it will be real advantage for the blind.
The Intelligent Stick acts as a basic platform for the coming generation of more aiding devices to help the visually impaired to navigate safely both indoor and outdoor. It is effective and affordable. It leads to good results in detecting the obstacles on the path of the user in a range of three meters. This system offers a low-cost, reliable, portable, low power consumption and robust solution for navigation with obvious short response time.
The main objective is to help visually challenged people to find the way with ease using advance technology. In this technology controlled world, where people strive to live independently, this project proposes an ultrasonic stick for blind people to help them gain personal independence. Since this is economical and not large, one can make use of it easily.
So, the blind to feel free, isn't surrounded by wires as in belt and its content. Secondly, is easy to use because it is familiar and affordable. Thirdly, to be able to detect obstacles that exist on the ground (this is not available in glasses), which he walks indoor and outdoor is faced by obstacles such as stairs, puddles and sidewalks. The intelligent stick is basically an embedded system integrating the following pair of ultrasonic sensor to detect obstacles in front of the blind from ground level height to head level height in the range of 2 meter a head, infrared sensor to detect upward and downward stairs. Ultrasonic sensors and infrared sensor collect real time data and send it to microcontroller. After processing this data, the microcontroller actives the motor to vibrate and Water sensor to detect water spreads rechargeable battery to power the circuits.
The intelligent stick is integrated with ultrasonic sensor along with water sensing. My proposed project first use ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles ahead using ultrasonic waves. If obstacle is close, the microcontroller sends a signal to sound a buzzer.
Atmega Microcontroller, Ultrasonic Sensor, Water detect sensor, Crystal Oscillator, Resistors, Capacitors, Transistors, Cables and Connectors, Diodes, PCB and Breadboards, LED, Transformer/Adapter, Push Buttons, Switch, IC, IC Sockets, Vibrator Motor are implemented on Cane stick.

4. It will also cut the import of the country that will leads to save the country money.
5. The prototype will be develop considering the minimum cost of the project.
This intelligent stick will be integrated with ultrasonic sensor having water sensor. First step is to use ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles ahead using ultrasonic waves. The second step is to find obstacle, if the stick is close to it, The controller will send a signal to the buzzer to indicate the user about that obstacle is very close. An Atmega Microcontroller, can work with ultrasonic sensor. It can also work with water detector sensor. Also crystal oscillator will be used to provide clock to the microcontroller as complete system will be designed using Printed Circuit Board (PCB). Also many of source mount resistors, capacitors will be mounted on the PCB for smaller size to integrate the complete system inside the stick. Also few of the transistors needs to be used which are high performance connected with cables and connectors. The output of the microcontroller will be provided to Light Emitting Diodes( LED) to shows the response of the stick. Once the design idea is successful then vibrator motor wil be implemented along with other features to get response form the stick. Also push up button will be included to make an ease for the user to use the stick..
