Power utilities in different countries especially in the developing ones are incurring huge losses due malfunctioning of electrical energy. As the population is increasing the electricity demand is also increasing. Domestic load is the major burden in residential area. Consumer uses the electricity above the sanction load. Overloading/sanctioned load violation problems occurs in residential area results in loss of electrical energy providing generating sector. Due to overloading, some rural areas are facing problems of load shading. The overloading occurs on transformers and conductors and it may reduce their life span. Electrical utilities faces large economic losses every year. In this paper major focus is on residential sector.
The main objective of this project is to calculate the power losses, economical losses and the effect of overloading at conductor’s and transformer’s life in distribution system.

- Slecting the one Transformer of specific area
- Collecting the rated data from wapda of that specific area
- Measuringthe actual data of specific area from energy data logger
- Comparing the rated and measured data
- Calculating the power loss from comparison
- See the effect on transformer's and conducter's life
- Also simulating the results on MATLAB
