Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryIn today’s world, people using smartphones have increased rapidly, and hence, a smartphone can be used efficiently for personal security or various other protection purposes. The heinous incident of Motorway has outraged the entire nation has wakened us to go for the safety issues and so hosts of new applications have been developed to provide security systems to women via their phones. An Android Application for the Safety of Women and this application can be activated by a single click, whenever the need arises. A single click on this application identifies the location of a place through GPS and sends a message comprising this location URL to the registered contacts and call on the first registered contact to help the one in dangerous situations. The unique feature of this application is to send the message to the registered contacts continuously every five minutes until the “stop” button in the application is clicked. Continuous location tracking information via SMS helps to find the location of the victim quickly and can be rescued safely.

It will send location of the user to local authorities. A safety band and connect it with the application. There would be a pressure sensor in it that will activate shield mode. This bracelet will send signal transference to the application and the application will send the data to local authorities & registered contacts.

In the past few years, the Safety of women has become the main issue of our country. With the increasing rape cases in Pakistan has alerted every citizen. Pakistan's government has taken certain actions against these kinds of threats but it still needs much improvement. In the automated world of smartphone, the need of the hour is to use technology for the solution of our problems. We have made an idea to make an android Application on women safety. This application will provide certain benefits to the user. We will make sure that our client can be saved in difficult condition.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableIn this project, the Hardware we use is consist of Arduino Board with one type of sensors which is touch Sensor including jumper wires to connect the hardware with each other and a power supply cable to give the power to the hardware. The hardware is encapsulated in a wristband.
It is an android-based application, which will be developed using Android studio having json, Java, php. Moreover, it will be developed using FDD (Feature driven development) where requirements divided into multiple standalone modules of the software development cycle.[3]
The project is to provide the real time assistance to women for safety concerns because they face the growing threats in society. Therefore, the developer gives their best on the performance requirement to make the application efficient so it does not crash. Provide the user-friendly interface of the application on the updated android version. The application will run in the background once shield mode is on. It will provide voice command features to the user. The integration between safety band and application will allow the user to activate shield mode through safety band.
