Development and fabrication of two subsystem of satellite. Communication network which is the main subsystem of satellite and Attitude Determination and Control Subsystems (ADCS). This project focuses on removing space debris or hunks of metals. Aim of this project is to Develop communication network between Satellite and Ground Station (Uplink and Downlink). This link is provided using ground station and onboard telecommand and tracking data receiving systems, onboard decoder and telemetry transmitter. Determine Attitude of Satellite and Control it so that your Satellite stay in its Orbit. Sensors are used to detect sudden change in Attitude and send command to actuators (thrusters) to compensate that change. This Project lead by Dr. Muhammad Tallal Saeed(Assistant Professor) and Dr. Ali Sarosh (Associate Professor) and .Their recent completed project includes PNSS-1 under supervision of SUPARCO.
Following are the Project Obejctives;
Design and Hardware-Implementation of ADCS
Hardware implementation which will perform the functionality of ADCS Subsystem of satellite specifically for a Tug Satellite. It will take inputs from various sensors and give the required output. Hardware will be implemented using Arduino kit for testing. ADA coding language is used for satellite simulation. Thrusters and Actuators are connected with Arduino kit for verification results at ground.
Design and Hardware-Implementation of TT&C
Hardware implementation which will perform the functionality of TT&C Subsystem of satellite specifically for a Tug Satellite. It will perform the tasks for data transfer from ground station to satellite and vice versa. It will be implemented by using two antennas place at some distance and build communication link between them. Phenomena of uplink and downlink will be tested.
