Communication with the teacher is a signi?cant approach required by the students to become successful in their educational pursuit. Communication motivates the students to enhance their educational abilities. It also encourages the student to work hard and remains consistent with their work. For the time being, it is a need to develop such a platform which can make communication between teacher and students more e?cient and well managed. There is a need for an app to provide a user friendly way of communication and managing teacher’s time with students. Therefore we proposed to develop an app called ST-Com that will help to make communication more e?cient and productive. This platform has many bene?ts. Such as: it is an o?cial way of communication between teacher and student(E.g. student will send request to teacher to allocate a consultation time slot in response teacher accepts the request and allocate a free time slot), it also saves the time of both teacher and students, it shows the responsive behavior of teacher to their students that either teacher give response or free time to their students in the o?ce, it also helps in representing that how much students are responding and either utilizing their consultation hours or not. Moreover, all the records of the communication process will be preserved to the management/ department that represents how many times teachers allocate free time slots in the o?ce to their students and how much students utilize the consultation time. This app will also help teachers to give proper timing to each and every student individually which reduces overhead from the teacher by giving proper consultation timing to individual students.The STCOM service open based software that can used sukkur iba university teachers.

Project Implementation Method

Project Implementation:

The project tools Mern stack development by using the modern technologies such as, ?utter React JS, React Bootstrap, and Node JS server to get and post the requests. and MongoDb database.

• Client side react Bootstarp, web client, Android application.
• Middle wares Node JS libraries, Controllers, Models, Database libraries.
• External Libraries external API’s, web API’s.

Benefits of the project:

The bene?t of this project is to provide such system for both students and teacher to communicate e?ciently and e?ectively and manage their academic timetable. We propose to develop a communication platform named STCOM (Student Teacher Communication), this will provide an e?cient way of communication. Through this software students would be able to request a time slot out of o?ce hours for a student. Students sent a request for speci?c time slot due to unavoidable reasons. This software would have options of rescheduling for both students and teachers. This software would be designed with a user-friendly GUI to make this process easy. The communication record between student and teacher directly access to admin for such to monitor e.g., how many hours teachers have spent out of class consultations during a semester. How many hours have students requested and utilized? How many hours have the teacher not entertained even after accepting requests? This data could also be used in future to generate report and see the impact of these sessions on students’ learning.The STCOM service open based software that can used sukkur iba university teachers.

Technical Details:

The MVC design architecture applied on this system model, view, controller 3-tier of server, client, and Database architecture software approaches. The client is de?ned as the network application that uses the server’s services. On a network, the server provides services to another host. In Mobile phone technology, mobile interface will be demanded by the client before necessary interaction can occur. Through the system logic the servers administer the client’s requests. Server o?ers the services such as authentication, mobile application interfaces generation on request and database operation.
