It takes hours to reach destination because of traffic jams. Special vehicles (ambulances police cars, fire trucks) also encounter traffic jam in emergency. Traffic jam can be caused by large red-light delays, accident or any other reason. Special vehicles cannot reach on time because of traffic jam which results in serious consequences. Fire trucks and ambulances get stuck in traffic and cannot reach on time the result can be damage to property, death or any other problem with people in emergency. Sometimes accidents are also caused as special vehicles move with speed. Departments (police, fire brigade, hospitals, organizations) are also blamed for this.
The aim of the system is to ensure that special vehicles (ambulances, police cars, fire trucks) can pass through roads safely, quickly and efficiently. This system i.e. blockchain-based special vehicles priority access guarantee constructs a decentralized edge node. The intelligent edge device sends vehicle information to next edge device after detecting special vehicles and the traffic light status changes in real time. This helps special vehicles to arrive at the accident scene on time. Traffic jams can be reduced. This intelligent system will monitor vehicles by using smart cameras and direct special vehicles. Special vehicles information will be uploaded to edge node and will sync with the next edge node which will change traffic light accordingly, so that the special vehicles can pass easily. This saves time and efforts which makes this system efficient.

Project Implementation MethodThe project is implemented step by step and is almost done 50%. In the implementation until now raspberry pi is used with a raspbian camera to detect the vehicles. Artificial intelligence is used for the detection of vehicles. Block chain is used to store the vehicle data and send out information to the traffic lights to work accordingly. In the first phase the models will be trained for the detection of vehicles. In the second phase blockchain will be implemented to store the vehicle information and as a communication mean between lights and system. In the third phase the whole system with hardware will be implemented and it will work perfectly by the grace of Almighty Allah.

Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final project deliverables will be comprising of the hardware I.e. Nvidia jetson nano board device for the better functioning and better frames per second for the better detection of vehicles and maximum accuracy. The blockchain code and the other vehicle detection algorithms will be in the deliverables. DIY traffic lights and other necessary communication hardware will be there.
A practical demonstration of the project will be presented upon the completion of the project. The complete working project will be the final deliverable.
