People nowadays are concerned with their everyday activities to the point that they do not have time to watch or listen to the news. To cope with these concerns, online news channels have sprung up, allowing users to search for any type of news depending on their Interests. In a typical web-based news channel, a writer on the back end of application produces news. The problem is that people cannot get the real time news. The “spark news” a web based application. In user interface the user will be able to view news. The news will be fetched from Twitter through web scrapping and will be displayed to the user. There will be also a module to select the topics which is based on Natural language Processing and it also analyze the news weather the particular news is accurate or not. People will use our application in the future to acquire news since all of the news will be collected in real time from Twitter and the entire news publishing procedure will be automated. The news market will be the focus of Spark News. There are various news channels, newspapers, and web-based news solutions accessible in this sector. People who are distracted with their everyday activities and cannot wait for the news periods set by news networks will be the primary audience of our application.
Project Objectives
The Objectives of “Spark News” are as follows:
- The system will be based on web scraping which will fetch news from Twitter and display it to the user on real time.
- The system will consists of different sections like health, sports, science, entertainment, technology, and business.
- Topics will be selected on the basis of Natural language Processing.
- The system will be based on Natural language Processing. After fetching news from twitter, our application will analyze particular news and will inform the user weather it is accurate or not.
- Automatically news posting.
- Old news will be removed automatically and will be replaced with the latest news automatically.
Project Implementation Method
For implementation of this project we will use Scrum model. This is because the Scrum is an agile development approach based on iterative and incremental procedures that is used in the creation of software. Scrum is an agile framework that is meant to offer value to the client throughout the project’s development. It is adaptive, rapid, flexible, and effective. We divide the project in four iterations, first iteration is of front end development and second, third and fourth are of back-end development in which Web scrapping, using Natural language processing for title generation and for checking the accuracy of the news.
Benefits of the Project
By using spark news people can see accurate and real time news without the intervention of the backend writer. The whole process is automated so people do not have to wait to get the real time news. The “Spark News” is a web-based online service that we present. The news will be scrapped from twitter tweets and is checked to detect the news is accurate or not, this will benefit the users to only study the accurate news. By seeing the titles people can easily draw conclusions about the particular news.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
The final deliverable of "Spark News" will be Web based application along with documentation manual having all technical details of the application. It will be developed in visual studio code and Google Colab.
