These technical developments were necessary because of the challenges faced in conventional weather forecasting for instance incorrect forecasts and costly hardware. Weather forecast had assisted to take the precautionary measures against the winds, extreme high and low temperature, infections, and nuisances. A few strategies have been embraced to adapt up to these circumstances. One of the best strategical approaches is weather station.
Weather stations measure weather information comprising of temperature, relative moistness, environmental strain, wind speed, light power, and others[2]. Weather stations are prime tools for numerous fields, such as agriculture, aviation, construction, sports and recreation, particularly on the grounds that they gather weather information, which can be put away and prepared to gather explicit data to connect occasions to weather activities. Weather tracking Devices gather data identifying with weather conditions use sensors, so the information gathered can be utilized to be investigated utilizing different models.
Project Objectives- To design a sensor arrangement to measure the physical quantities
- To design hardware for environmental parameters data monitoring
- To design an embedded system software for hardware design.
- Interfacing WiFi module and sending data to ward Cloud system and Smart Phones
- To design an Arduino /Raspberry Pi based system to collect data from sensors and put in serial port at display.
- To design DIY Wind-speed and Direction Sensor.
- To design a software that, collects serially available data frames and do action python using tools
- To design the control system for gathering the given data and analysis the data for future predictions.
To achieve a working hardware for obtaining all the objectives, first a complete circuit will be designed and simulated in Proteus Software.
In second phase, the sensors for reading the environmental parameters will be interfaced with Raspberry Pi Single board computer and codes will be written for it.
In third phase, the mechanical structure will be designed for wind speed sensor, and it will also be interfaced, and programming will be done for it.
In next phase, the WIFI module will be interfaced, and data will be sent toward the Cloud system.
Then, An Android App will also be designed to read the weather station parameters locally.
Then all the parts will be combined to get a working system
Then The system will be calibrated with standard weather station, for this purpose we will get help from the Peshawar Meteorology department.
At the end a complete report in the form of thesis will be written for it.
Benefits of the Project- The proposed Weather stations will use solar power and battery (DC) for giving 24 hours data.

- AIR quality information, smart environmental parameters achievement for industry application like Health-care, agriculture industry ,
- Smart Transportation industry , Smart City Application, defense application , and so on
- Complete system will be implemented by indigenous available resources and open source tool
- to reduce cost and software legal issues and encourage the local industry for local research and development.
