Solar Powered Automated Lawn Mower
This project is based in the Internet of Things and Robotics. It is basically a development of an automated machine (robot) that would be controlled through Wi-Fi and would perform a certain task. That task being, the mowing of lawns or gardens, or triming the grass at any private or public place. The innovation we are trying to bring in this project is to deploy a slidable mechanism of two solar panels to be used to charge the batteries and operate the lawn mower on solar energy. This would contribute towards green environment and also reduce the human effor greatly.
Following are the key objectives of our project:
To launch off the implementation, first of all we will work on the Wi-Fi control of the wheel mounted and blade motors using Nodemcu (Esp8266), Arduino Uno and Blynk mobile application. After the successful operation using Wi-Fi, we will work on the design of the slider mechanism (folding mechanism) for the solar panels to be used. Along with this task, we will work on the charging circuit and BMS (battery management system) for the battery bank. The solar panel and the charging circuit will then be integrated on the robot structure along with the folding mechanism. An ultrasonic sensor will be attached on the front to detect any obstacles and terminate all commands if an object is detected. This completes our envronment friendly prototype.

The final deliverable prototype will include a Solar and WAPDA swithcable charging mechanism. A proper charging circuit and a battery management system for the protection and longer life of the battery bank. A slider folding mechanism for extensive absorption of sunlight for more power. The complele prototype will be controlled using Wi-Fi through mobile phone.
