Solar Power Based Aesthetic Gardening System
Project Area of Specialization Mechatronics EngineeringProject SummaryAbstract
Designing of a Solar Power based aesthetic garden consisting of a variety of beautiful mechanisms integrated in it mainly consisting of a dancing fountain made up with fiber glass in which servo motors are integrated to control direction of water that is drawn with the help pf water pumping motor. Neon lights are used to make the dancing effect more prominent. this all would be programmed using micro controller and a music system would be integrated to give a soothing vibe. Programmed Lightening system would be installed throughout the garden in order to beautify the garden especially at night. Water sprinklers are added in order to water plants and trees at specified time of the day. thus a beautiful system would be established as far as the power system is concerned solar power panels would be used with a power storage batteries and an inverter to provide AC supply to the system. DC motors would be used in the frame holding the solar panel and programming it to move in three directions according to the observed sun rising and sun set in order to provide maximum power.
Project ObjectivesObjectives:
- To design a solar power panel based aesthetic gardening system that uses a renewable energy source to power an aesthetic system.
- To design and construct different mechatronics system such as dancing water fountain and other aesthetic systems that involves different electromechanical mechanisms.
- To provide a model of an aesthetic garden that can be used in malls, homes, parks, monumental places etc.
Steps of Project Implementation
Following are the steps in which the project would be implemented.
- Designing of the map of model of the garden using exact dimensions using skills of engineering drawing on AUTOCAD.
- Designing the 3D model on Solid Works so that each and every aspect of the project can be observed
- Ordering and purchasing of parts and other accessories that are required in the project.
- Designing of the project from the material purchased and assembling of the parts.
- Integration of motors, actuators in the project.
- Designing of circuit on Printed Circuit Board that includes the Micro controller.
- Integration of all parts and decoration of the aesthetic garden.
- Attachment of Solar Panels according to the required power with the garden using an inverter converting DC to AC.
- Attachment of Battery to the system for cloudy day and night.
Benefits
- To develop a creative and aesthetic design of a garden based on mechanisms of mechatronics engineering in order to create a fascinating project with the approach that consider the requirement of engineering in aestheic work that helps increasing tourism and appeal the people of the modern day and age.
- To provide a model of an aesthetic garden that can be used in malls, homes, parks, monumental places etc.
- Solar Power based aesthetic gardening system is made with an objective of benefit that a pollution free renewable energy source would be used to power a system.
Technical Details
- An aluminum platform would be used as the base of the project along with a wooden casing.
- Dancing Water Fountain would be made up of fiber glass.
- Servo Motors would be integrated in the fountain in order to control the motion of the water for the dancing affect.
- Water pumping motor would be installed in order to supply water from a water source to the garden.
- A PCB (Printed Circuit Board) would be designed according to the requires circuit.
- Micro controller would be used for the control of servo motors of the fountain as well as the water sprinklers and other mechanisms.
- All wiring system, circuit boards, micro controller would be enclosed in a casing underneath and would not be on display in order to maintain the aesthetic nature of the garden.
- Different mechanisms would be created representing the culture of Pakistan.
- All neon lights would be installed.
- Solar Power panels would be attached according to the power required to the system.
- Servo/Stepper Motor would be attached in the frame holding the solar panel in order to move it in three directions where it can absorb maximum sunlight in order to get optimum energy from the system.
- An inverter would be attached that would convert DC to AC supply in order to provide it to our garden.
- Battery source according to the system would be installed in order to provide the system power for cloudy days and nights
