Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryBuilding a prototype of a solar concentrator system in which we generate electricity by steam with the help of a parabolic solar concentrator. Solar concentrator heats the water, then it turns into steam, the steam goes to a steam storage cylinder, then the steam from cylinder goes to a turbine an drotates its shaft and run the generator and get the electric output around 15watts.
Project Objectivescoal and natural gas are decreasing the amount of fossile fuel day by day so our main objective is to prodeuce electricity with the help of steam..
PV cells has not much efficiency and capacity to store energy and it has certain life as compare to solar concentrator.
so this is our main obective of our project.
Project Implementation Methodconcentrate the sunlight on galvanized iron pipe which is placed at focal point
let the water in pipe to convert that water into steam
store the steam in steam storage cylinder
throw that steam to turbine in order to rotate the shaft of turbine to get electric output

Technical Details of Final DeliverablePV cells has not much efficiency and capacity to store energy and it has certain life as compare to solar concentrator.
solar concentrator has much capacity to store energy that is around 16 hours and can produce electricity if we apply it in places where the temprature is very high and sunlight availability is around 8-10 hours
