Smart Speaking System for Deaf and Dumb
Project Area of Specialization Wearables and ImplantableProject SummaryWe are creating the Smart speaking virtual gloves, this device is for deaf and dumb. In our daily life, there are some people we met, they are not able to speak. Peoples that cannot communicate with others are helpful with this device.
Deaf and Dumb people’s language is signature language so communication is a huge problem in reality. The gesture in signature Language of hands and fingers shows their tongue and their hearing. Sign language is not easily recognize by people. So for making their language is understandable by other peoples we design virtual Gloves that’s help to conversion of the signature language into Text and Voice.
Project ObjectivesNow a days, Technology changes rapidly and every person use these technology but some peoples in our society cannot use them because of their disabilities, people like deaf and dumb.
So we introduce a glove that automates the sign language into text and gloves.
The main objectives are.
- Convert sign language into text.
- Convert sign language into voice.
- Easily communication of deaf and dumb with ordinary people.
- Automate their Tongue.
- Easily accessible everywhere, school and other fields.
- Portable
- Attach Apparatus and Design circuit
- Attach flex sensors on Gloves and then input wires to Arduino, also attach Bluetooth Module to Arduino
- Input Power Supply
- Taking Resistence from Flex sensors, calculate it for a specific sign in Arduino
- Generate text series for a specific sign from calculated resistence
- And display it on Android Arduino Bluetooth App through Bluetooth Module attached with Arduino.
The basic purpose of this project is to help the deaf and dumb patient in communication purpose. Other people easily understand the language and their thoughts and ideas.
Our project has a large scope for disable students or peoples. As they communicate easily, so if the patient is student or in any field of life, his life become easy. Some deaf and dumb take their inability serious and think that they are not like common people. They cannot easily explain their thoughts. So by this glove it will be helpful to live like a common man.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe proposed Solution for the states that Four FLEX force sensors for four fingers that each sensor has two ranges of voltage and each range indicate one word, this word is display on LCD and convert Text to Speech. Sensors convert the applied load into voltage signals and Arduino is receive this voltage and call the LCD and speaker to display and vocalize the definite word.
Dividing a project into phases makes it possible to lead it in the best possible direction.
It will divide the total word load of the project, by dividing its components. As their first comes idea of the project and then leads it to the implementation.
Methodologies for development helps in every stage in Project. It helps managers to manage plan, initiate and implement ideas against the project.
