Smart Solar Drinking Water Dispensor

Project Summary

  • Technological innovations in various fields of life are intended to facilitate human work.
  • The water dispenser is oneof the technological innovations that functions as a drinking water storage.
  • If we tap dripped drop of water in each second it take only 5 hours to waste one gallon water which is enough only for average human to survive for two days.
  • During the COVID-19 pandemic people avoid the touching appliances in the offices to protect themselves from the virus.
  • We are making smart solar drinking water dispense which starts and stops  automatically by using the sensors to remove the all manual water dispensing method.
  • We are using the solar energy rather than conventional electricity energy to support the green environment and it saves the bill cost of the electricity.   

Project Objectives

  • The main aim of this project is to save the water which is big problem in urban areas by removing the manual handling.
  • To ensures the safe , healthy operation and protecting from  viruses

  • We will try to generate the maximum output from solar to increase the efficiency.

Project Implementation Method

Our projects is based on the electronics components and we first make the circuit schematic and flow chart of our projects.

Circuit Schematic gives the complete the flow of the input and output of the our proposed module given below in block diagram:

Above Block diagram show the our complemete implmenation of the project.

We will use the Arudino/ESP32 as microcontroller for the controlling the sensor function.

In first step we implments the glass Hand Gesture method.

Hand Gesture method then activate the microcontroller and sends the signal to Glass detection method to activate it and detcts the presence of the class.

As Glass detects by the Glass detection method , servo motor starts works and opens the faucet according to the direction of the hand senses by Glass detection method. 

As direction of hand sensed ,water dispenser dispense the water according to the prescribed mentioned limits of the water.

Benefits of the Project

It will opearte automatically.

It can used Publically. 

It will protect from the germs by removing the manual handling.

It can be used by everyone even disabled person also can use it without any facing difficulty.

It has two faucets one for hot water and other for cold water.

It is easy to operate.

It can be used in the hospitals , schools, offices and homes because of easy operaton.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

  • The APDS9960 gesture sensor detects hand gestures, selects hot or cold water, and then detects the servo. 
  • The motor is used to open the  faucet. After that, the position of the glass is  the ultrasonic sensor HCSR04. 
  • Water will flow into the glass for 30 seconds.
  • The entire I / O process is controlled by Arduino.
  • The result shows that this automatic water dispenser can detect hand gestures at a maximum distance of 15 cm and a hand gesture speed of 2 Up to 3.7 seconds.
