Project Title: Smart Poultry Farming

The whole project revolves around these entities. Farmer runs a business through the farms and poultry that they own. Client is the person who wants to buy poultry to sell them ahead whereas broker is the person who acts as a bridge between the client and the farmer. A broker is a person or a firm who arranges transactions between a buyer and a seller for a commission when the deal is executed. A broker also acts as a seller or as a buyer and becomes a principal party to the deal. So the broker will contact the farmer and inform him that a client wants to place an order for the chicks and after that farmer will dispatch the order to the client. So broker will charge his/her commission on the client such as 2,500 to 3000Rs/ apart from the payment. The client will give his payment to the farmer and then receive the order. So in this way, this application will be used for placing and receiving the order via broker and farmers

Project Objectives

The poultry industry is the largest livestock industry in Pakistan, but this industry lacks the use of modern technologies. So this project will help the poultry farmers to reach out to the market and sell the poultry products like chicks, meat, eggs, feed, hens, and other products. This project will also help the poultry consumers to reach fresh poultry products.

Benefits of the Project

1.Government will be able to receive taxes due to this project (Million Rupee worth taxes can be attained on daily basis)

2. Farms will have to get registered for this project which in result minimizes power theft.

3. Clients will get incentives.

4. Farmers will have access to online purchases of goods(Feed, Medicine, chicks) instead of going themselves.

5. Client won't have to go to every broker and purchase the desired number of stocks. Instead, he will search according to his need and will get to know which broker has a quantity that fulfils his needs.

6. Due to this Project, each poultry vehicle will carry a suitable amount of livestock weight which will not burdened roads as heavy vehicles have a great impact on roads.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We involve three stakeholders. We are making the project in which there would be two applications for farmer and client and a website to show farmer’s and client’s data according to the requirement.

Farmer Application:

• Farmer will login through the portal by entering user-id and password.
• Farmer can search nearby brokers through Google maps.
• Farmer has access to all the brokers.
• Farmer can see broker’s name, contact number, address, shop location and also how many farms are being led by a single broker.
• Farmer will contact the broker for the chicks, feed and medications needed for the chicks.
• Farmer could see whether broker have enough vehicles available for the loading.

Client Application:

• Client will login in the portal by entering user-id and password.
• Client has access to all the brokers available on the application
• Client can see broker’s name, contact number, location and can also check whether broker have enough chicks available for the sale.
• If the broker has enough chicks available for the sale then the client will place an order for the chicks.

Broker /Web Application:

• Broker will login in the portal by entering user-id and password.
• Broker has full access to the farmer’s and client’s information as well.
• It acts as a supplier for the client and the farmer.
• Broker acts as a trustee for the client and the companies as well.
• If we exclude the broker from our project then there would be a lot of time wastage of the client.
• Broker also assists in the functioning of the farm as he knows the quality and the rate of poultry along with info about how many of them are active.
• In case of new farms opening, the clients are mostly unaware of their existence; hence, a broker who has all the details about them can help the client and save their time.
• Brokers will have registered clients so whenever a client places an order, the broker will receive a notification. The broker will inform the client if the stock is available in the farm after contacting the farmer. If available then broker will charge his commission on the client as he acts as a supplier for the client.
• Brokers will have all farmers and farms registered. After registration, if farmer needs feed, medicine or chicks, he will send his requirements to the broker and the broker will immediately get a notification. And if broker has enough stock then he will notify the farmer.
• Farm rankings will be visible to the broker and on the bases of these rankings client will be connected to the farmers.
• After the final commitment, client will give the receipt to the farmer as a proof of a certain broker connecting them for the transaction and dealing. For example if deal is made on 40kg of poultry with the client then it will be mentioned on the receipt and client will get a print of the receipt so that the exact amount is dealt without any misinformation on either side. Also, it will solve overweight vehicles problem.
• We will also add a complaint box for farmer’s and client’s queries that will be addressed by the broker.
