Project Summary

Car parking is a major issue now a days. There simply are too many vehicles on the parking  and not parking properly causes parking problems spaces. We led to the need for efficient parking management systems. This we demonstrate the use of Smart parking management system that allows for efficient parking space utilization using IOT technology. To demonstrate the concept we use IR sensors for sensing parking slot occupancy along with a dc motor to simulate as gate opener motors. We now use internet connectivity and a microcontroller for operating the system. The system detects the parking slots are occupied using IR sensors.  The system reads the number of parking slots available or occupied and updates data with the cloud server to allow for checking parking slot availability online. This allows users to check for available parking spaces online from anywhere and available hassle-free parking. Thus the system solves the parking issue for university and gets users an efficient IOT based Smart parking management system.

Project Objectives

Make the parking system of AUST Smart .

Saves times in searching for parking slot.

More no. of cars can be parked in minimum space.

Project Implementation Method

Vehicle Detection:

                              We have used IR sensor for Automatic Detection of vehicles at entrance and parking spots they have occupied.

Run Time Status:

                              We have linked Android app and cloud data so that we can show run time status of parking every second.

Navigation to parking Slot :

                              we have installed LCD on main entrance so if any user don’t have excess to android app so can get to available slot easily.

Automatic Poll System:

                              We have used Servo motor which is fully automated .If there is no available slot it will not let any other vehicle to get inside parking area .

Benefits of the Project

Student , faculty , visitors will be able to navigate online for parking slot.More number of cars can be parked in m inimum space .
