SMEM is a prototype which allow user's to monitor, manage and reduce the energy consumption of electrical and electronic devices and conserves the energy. It helps in improving the communication between the producer and the consumer. It also help to reduce the wastage of energy. SMEM helps in power management by tracking real time energy consumption. It observes input from user to identify the peak hours and manage the energy during peak hours. This system can also provide building to building communication by transferring extra energy to other building on request. Energy consumption can easily be monitored by the electronic devices. Smart Monitoring and Energy Management of Hybrid Power Supply is design to cope up the cheapest, reliable energy requirements. it includes the solar panel as renewable energy source and batteries for storing the charge. SMEM manage the energy by the load management techniques. It’s a product that monitor, manage and control the energy in your home, offices, hospitals, hotels etc. We are using Arduino for controlling and routing electricity to loads. We set the devices to operate on the schedules and Priorities. In future the world is going towards the electric vehicles and SMEM is a milestone to save the energy and consume it in cognitive manner.The nature of project is hardware based.
