Project Summary

LGU Smart Assistant is an AI based student and teacher assistant that helps both students and teachers at the same time for example Our system tells all the students of all their lecture timings and attendance for each lecture and it also keep alert all students from the university important notifications. Using simple SMS on the other hand it helps teacher from doing tedious tasks again and again such as marking student’s attendance and it also aware all the teachers from the university important notifications through a simple SMS

There is another feature of our system is GPS Based Location monitoring system for auto attendance marking but if we have time, we will complete it otherwise we will complete some part of it

Project Objectives

Our Project has many objectives but we some basic objective that gives overview of our project.

1. Extracting information from all kinds of web-based portals and websites.
2. Auto Database Updating.
3. Getting Students and Teachers information through website.
4. Sending SMS automatically to all students and teachers about informing many aspects.
5. Marking Attendance automatically without involving teacher.
6. Making a Virtual notice board in the form of SMS for all.
7. web based Notice board that is for university for uploading important information and notifications.

Project Implementation Method

In this project our major tool that we use is web automation framework such as selenium python and raspberry pi with GSM module and we use Agile as project implementation method.

5. Raspberry Pi Server implementation

Benefits of the Project

Advantages of this projects are:

1. Our system automatically sends SMS to all student about their lecture time and room number against all their lectures it is beneficial for those students that cannot check their timetable for their lectures for the following reasons: 1) Not have internet 2) Not have smart phone 3) Does not know how to check timetable etc.
2. Our system informs every student about many aspects of their attendance for each lecture like how many absentees and presents
3. Our system also works like smart notice board that send SMS to all students against to each notification provided by university
4. Our system also works like an 'UR' University Representative that inform all three kind of people at the same time by SMS about any information First-One are Students Second-One are Teachers and Third-One are University Management.
5. Our system also helpful for teachers it also informs about their conducting lecture timing and room number to all busy teacher.
6. it works like reminder for both students and teacher.
7. it also provides notifications from university to all staff including teacher and management
8. It provides a best feature to all teachers like auto student attendance marking without teacher involvement.
9. Our system has numerous advantages both for teachers and students.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Raspberry-PI based server with integrated GSM module that have the following technical Details:

1. Data extraction from any web-based portal and website.
2. Extracted Information management using different database like MySQL, Google Sheets.
3. Students and teacher Record management like each identity, password, activities using our system.
4. Database update automatically without involving any person.

Technical details are not limited. the mention above are some basic technical details.

Our system automatically sends SMS to students and teachers according to each record. SMS contain different information like each lecture time and room number, each lecture attendance after the lecture and best thing is to send important notifications provided by university like seeing at the university notice board.

Our system is not static database that generate SMS however it is smart database generated system that extract information from the university timetable website and also from other web-based portals like data extraction each student attendance from their portal.

Our system has many other features that can be implemented if some time are left from the final deliverable time.
