System is designed and developed by using Arduino controller which can control and monitor different interconnected appliances. Wi-Fi is used for wireless connection between smartphone and appliances. Following appliances are controlled:
Fan/heater , lights , door and curtain.
The Smart home system will turn off unnecessary appliances automatically, hence saving the energy.

System is designed and developed by using Arduino controller which can control and monitor different interconnected appliances. This project will implement the home automation system in the following two configurations:
- Fully automated home
- Home automation with assistance from mobile phone
In scheme (i.) the appliances will be completely controlled through thresholds set according to each appliance. The appliances are turned on and off based on the status of appliance and predefined ranges for temperature and light intensity.
In scheme (ii.) when mobile phone is connected, all controls will be handed to mobile and user can control all appliances through mobile.

- Our system will reduce the human effort, energy usage and also improve the quality and the efficiency of all apliances in the room.
- It will provide safety in emergency conditions
- All Devices are automatically controlled for more convenience.
- No need to carry separate remote or any other controlling unit.
- A fully automated room containing lights, fans, curtains and door.
Whole project will be implemented in real time in our project room. In which lights, fans, curatins and door are controlled automatically using sensor values. All apliances can also be controlled through mobile.
- Cutain opening mechanism and door opening mechanism will also be designed and implemented by us.
