Smart Home Enhanced Security
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThis project is to make the life more secure and convenient. Security is the primary need especially in third world countries where home robberies and home burglaries are common. specially in countrie like Pakistan Breaking the regular lock is not very difficult for burglars nowadays. So, with the help of facial recognition technique & Biometric Verification it will be very much difficult for burglars to trespass the house. The door will only be unlocked for authenticated persons. To make home safer, we will attach a temperature/smoke detecting sensors. If system detects unusual change in temperature or detects smoke, it will alarm and take immediate steps i.e. switching on exhaust fans etc. and additional to that all the home appliances could also be controlled remotely through Smartphone and by voice control through Google Assistant. as this project is Designed for the country like Pakistan, we addded features according to the circumstances in the country like gas leakage often happens in the homes and shops which end up in huge disasters by early detection we could easily prevent those misshaps. beside that there is another big problem of water supply in the areas due to wich contious monitoring of water storage tank is essential in our homes if we came to know the water supply for the area is activated we could check our water tank level on our mobile device and could switch on our water pump, we could put it on automated switches but in cities like karachi there is also a major problem of electric loadshedding we have generators in most of the houses/shops to circulate electricy so if we got our water pump automaticaly switching on feature it could harm our generators and alternators so in concerning issues like these we are designing a smart control on our accesories for homes( could also be implemented to shops)

- Smoke/Gas detection sensors in conccern areas upon detection of smoke immediate steps woul be taken.
- 3 Mediums of Light/ Appliances control i.e. (Remotely, Automated and Voice control)
- Water level of tank would be shown up on the Mobile device for monitoring.
- Sensor in soil for monitoring moisture.

Automation of the surrounding environment of a modern human being allows increasing his work efficiency and comfort. There has been a significant development in the area of an individual's routine tasks and those can be automated. Home Automation System (HAS) has been designed for mobile phones having Android platform to automate an IOT interfaced Arduino which controls a number of home appliances like lights and many more using on/off relay.
Security has always been a concern for people since the beginning. Everyone wants to feel more secure and wants more control on fingertips. These days, technology has reached at its peak and is playing a vital role in our daily lives as well. So why not use it for our own benefit, safety and security?
There are many researches going on regarding face recognition. So, we decided to use it for security. Our project will be about home security using facial & Biometric Verification to lock or unlock the door. Home safety is also included in our project which will notify the users if there is fire or high temperature in house. And in last, there will be home automation as well. Turning the lights and fans on and off from anywhere you want will be very cost effective and energy efficient. This will be done using Arduino UNO and C Programming.
