Smart Glasses
Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummarySmart glasses are wearable computer glasses that add information alongside or to what the wearer sees. Alternatively smart glasses are sometimes defined as wearable computer glasses that are able to change their optical properties at runtime. Smart sunglasses which are programmed to change tint by electronic means are an example of the latter type of smart glasses. Superimposing information onto a field of view is achieved through an optical head-mounted display (OHMD) or embedded wireless glasses with transparent heads-up display (HUD) or augmented reality (AR) overlay that has the capability of reflecting projected digital images as well as allowing the user to see through it, or see better with it. While early models can perform basic tasks, such as just serve as a front end display for a remote system, as in the case of smart glasses utilizing cellular technology or Wi-Fi, modern smart glasses are effectively wearable computers which can run self-contained mobile apps. One issue may be the privacy concerns surrounding them. This Smart Glasses will be easy to use and is not costly any person will buy it easily.
Smart glasses may collect information from internal or external sensors. It may control or retrieve data from other instruments or computers. It may support wireless technologies like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. While a smaller number of models run a mobile operating system and function as portable media players to send audio and video files to the user via a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi headset.
Project Objectives- Smart glasses can provide a clear and stable output on the optical head-mounted display (OHMD) to the smart glasses wearer.
- The smart glasses wearer finds it very difficult to see the content in augmented reality if the output on the OHMD is too small or unclear in some illuminated conditions such as outdoor environments.
- The goal is to create a fully virtual world for the user to see, interact with and immerse into.
- The user sees this virtual world only; any other light sources are not affecting the eye.
- One significant difference to a simple screen is that the actions of the user affect the virtual world.
- To reduce the time between intention and action.
- Smart Glasses can be used to support workers in completing individual tasks to enable workers to have both hands free to perform manual activities.
- The Smart Glasses are identified about person either person are authorized or unauthorized by face detection.
- To provide a powerful tool for social interaction improvements due to strong technology.
PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY
- Early approximation of a Final System.
- Reworked as necessary until an acceptable prototype.
- Validation before development.
- Clarifying Production Costs and Issues.
Reasons for proposing Prototype Development
- We use prototype model in our project in which we follow up by the quick design, in which the visible elements of the software, the input and the output are designed.
- It emphasis at the quick development of the software.
- When experimenting on technology, trying outing new skills and having different variations during the development of project.
- Our project is hardware base in which we can build smart glasses. In smart glasses desktop screen are display through LED display. Different hard ware involve Like LED small screen Arduino sensors, tools, language etc.
- The prototyping approach already prevents major software architecture and implementation flaws in early stage.
- We will use prototype model a Smart Glasses because this model is more suitable for final year project in which we will may require different changes and those changes need a quick design.
Smart Glasses are an Android-based and a Raspberry Pi interface like a wearable computer, enhanced with a wearable monocular display and onboard processor, recording features and wireless connectivity capabilities designed for a wide variety of enterprise applications. Its pre-installed apps can be used to take still pictures, record and playback video, track timed events, link to your phone and more. smartglasses may collect information from internal or external sensors. It may control or retrieve data from other instruments or computers. It may support wireless technologies like Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. While a smaller number of models run a mobile operating system and function as portable media players to send audio and video files to the user via a Bluetooth or WiFi headset.
The benefits of smart glasses for law enforcement are substantial: smart glassescan be used to record interactions with the public, use facial recognition to identify individuals, scan vehicle license plates, live stream video to a command post, and provide biometric information on police officers and wounded. The use of smart glasses as body cameras presents all of the same issues as above, but provides a benefit over traditional body cameras: glasses-mounted cameras allow viewers to see a recording of an incident from a police officer’s point of view. This is a strong improvement over traditional chest-mounted cameras, which can easily be obstructed and suffer from limited viewing angles.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableAt final we would deliver a Smart Glasses a hardware product and the final doucumentation with all the details that will be wearable and can perform all those feature which write down above and that will be a new innovation we can watch TV , listen radio , perform object detection , Face detection and the Google Assistant which would be help the user to search anything. I'm hopeful that this product will be a great value for our country with the cheapest price as compared to Google Glasses.
