Project Summary

“Smart Eye For Blinds” is a project we aim to make specially for visually impaired and blind
people because in their daily routine, they face a lots of problems or hurdles while walking or
doing any work and are always dependent on someone. This is the main reason, we came up
with this solution a system which will be a proper guide to their difficulties because they need an
aid to feel safe while moving or walking. In this project a system is intended to aid blind person
so that they can walk or move independently without facing any difficulty. This system consist of
exciting features that will help them and will be a guide or in other words an eye for them the
features are obstacle detection, face recognization, emotion detection as well as text reading. In
this project we propose light weight, environment friendly and portable system for blind persons.

Project Objectives

1)Helping Blind and Virtually impaired people to adjust in this era with help of technology.
2)Effective Communication with people.
3)Making them feel independent.
4) We tried to find every possible solution of blind problem and gather and optimize them with
hardware in such a way that device will be portable and easy to use and the needs of blind will be
easily fulfilled by it.

Project Implementation Method

In this project. Firstly, we are using python language as a programming language and it id a main
core of our project. Secondly this project also consist of hardware that support this language. So the
best hardware we have selected is raspberry pi 4 4gb version. Hardware consists of different
components such as camera the most main part of our project in component category, mic,
headphone, sensors and other important component such as power supply etc. We will use every
possible component and programming to make it optimize, efficient, reliable and effective.
These components will help blind to move freely without having fear of any obstacle and hurdle.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The project will be hardware as well as software based. We will use raspberry pi and all necessary components as hardware such as camera, sensors, cables and connectors etc. While we will use AI algorithm in python as software and other necessary API. With combination of both categories. We will make best, efficient and technical project for Blind person.
