In this project, a simple energy meter can be turned into a digital smart energy meter by making some
modifications. By making these modifications meter reading, uploaded on a web-server directly where supplier and consumer both can view details of their energy consumption. The objective is to easy access to reading ,power monitoring,saving money, web dashboard and energy saving.

Choosing the operating system:
Raspberry Pi OS for Everyday Computing – Best of Raspbian. A free Debian-based OS optimized for Raspberry Pi's hardware, Raspbian comes with all the basic programs and utilities you expect from a general-purpose operating system
Purchasing: we purchase all required hardware as below
Software: we learn python language for coding the raspberry pi for uploading the data on web we use ubidot IOT plateform for representing our dashboard we also make android app by using thunkable online app building software to access our data in mobile
Hardware : As we know that digital energy meter having some indication led's one of them is impulse idicator which blinks 3200 times for one unit of electricity we count these pulse signals using raspberry pi using python language and we use these blinks value to get our units ,price we use http protocol and make request to send our data on cloud . This request is repeating every 2 sec in this way we done our hardware part.
Benefits: By this great inovation now we are able to watch our energy consuption daily by email alert and sms alert system and we see our usage on website anywere in the world. Its very easy to use android app to watch our energy consumption
Our hardware part consist of small panel on which we provide sockets for load for testing the system .Raspberry pi , digital meter and lcd screen for raspberry pi display is also attached on the panel the panel is about 2*2.5 fit
