Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryAs we know traffic is increasing with the increase in population day by day. We also have a lot of deaths and damage to nature because of vehicles accidents i.e about 2.5 million deaths and more than 50 million injuries occurred due to traffic accidents in the year 2004. Also, we know that humans can sometimes be rule breakers so to avoid that as well autonomous or smart driving can be a good option. Manpower usage can be lessened as well as time can be saved.
The Raspberry-pi is the main core controller which will be attached to the vehicle. The module of the pi-camera will be attached to the top of the prototype. The LN298 IC is used for the movement of the prototype. Computer Vision is utilized to find objects in front of the prototype and take necessary movements. When there is an object in front of the prototype and is at a measurable distance from the prototype. The raspberry-pi gives instructions to the Arduino UNO and it gives orders to the L298N Integrated Circuits to halt giving power to the tires and therefore halts the movement of the prototype contingent on the nearness of the object. The displacement calculated is also shown on the output window of the program. The following process is finding of lanes and road traffic signs.
Aim:
In many regions of Pakistan, every morning in the winter starts with fog, and it is very difficult to drive a car in the fog. The number of incidents due to fog is increased day by day
Our aim is to design such a driving Assistance tool that will help to overcome the difficulty while driving in fog.
Objective:
The objective of this project is to Implement such a tool in vehicles being driven in the foggy areas of Pakistan to reduce road accidents.
Implementations of the sensors are done in such a way that an ultra-sonic sensor is attached on top of the servo motor because it has to detect the object and its distance. Adriano (micro-controller) will control the ultrasonic sensor and servo motor and also power will be given to both of them through micro-controller
Benefits of the ProjectThe benefit of this project is to implement such a tool in vehicles being driven in the foggy areas of Pakistan ;
1. To reduce road accidents.
2. the driver can feel comfortable while driving the vehicle in foggy weather.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThis equipment can be inserted in vehicles being driven in such regions where fog makes driving difficult, particularly in regions of Punjab and Sindh. It usually occurs in the months of December and January in the morning time.
As many road accidents take place during this time and many people die in these accidents.
Such accidents can be overcome and many lives can be saved using such driving assistance tools
