Project Summary

The purpose of our FYP is to develop portable IOT BASED SMART DIGITAL STETHOSCOPE , that can objectify and quantify heart sound as well as murmur. The stethoscope is the basic tools for diagnosing in the present medical world. The heart sounds are being generated by the beating of heart and the flow of blood during the circulation in it. It then collects and analyses the basic information of 
patient's related to cardio respiratory system. Heart Diseases are the reason of untimely death and it has been termed to be the reason behind the high mortality factor that comes second to the stroke that prevailed in the present day’s world. A Heart sound stethoscope is the most primary stage to access for a physician.

Project Objectives

Monitor & obtain suggestions on patient’s current situation.
Minimizing travel & cost for analyzing ECG reports. 
Automatic notification will pop up doctor’s android app in emergency & then doctor's can prescribe Telemedicine according to patient condition.
Cost effective and reach maximum number of users using android OS. 
Just by using mobile App we will 
monitor heart beat and obtain suggestions on situation.
It will measure patient heartbeat , ECG ,Blood pressure & patient body temprature.

Project Implementation Method

We will have a pulse sensor,ECG sensor,temprature sensor & Blood pressure which will interface with our 
Pic microcontroller , then controller will take readings through pulse & data will be displayed on our lcd & wave will be shown on OLED & through Bluetooth we can send data on our mobilephone . 
The communication between Bluetooth & controller will be series communication. Sensor who will read data will be analog , data will be converted from analog to digital . there will be ADC in controller & with the help of ADC we will read analog data in digital format.

 

Benefits of the Project

By deep analysis of real time data base PQRST , predict patient’s life.
Diagnose patient heart diseases symptoms.
By smart digital stethoscope we can also diagnose pneumonia by comparing patient symptoms with World health organiztion standarads & monitor Blood pressure
In the recent future, online database of collected data. Data will be uploaded on a host website in the process of real time to the individual 
account of a patient. Appointed doctor would have access to his/her patient’s account. Patient could find doctors from the web site of relevant disease.In this 
project, it is discussed about only a medical kit. Several devices are going to be added in total system as a full online based Medicare system.
Most Important fact is that it is blessing for those people who are living in remote and backward areas where health facilities are adequate & this system will act as First Aid to monitor and control their health problems.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

In final we will deliever a Iot based smart digital stethoscope which will monitor patient heart beat , ECG , Patient body temprature , Blood pressure and its waveform on lcd and all this data will be in digital form and this data can be send on mobile phone through Bluetooth. In final we deliever the FYP in Hardware along with its coding in Software portion.
Morover a portal will be made on PC using thinkspeak.com on which patient Ecg, body temprature,Blood Pressure & heart beat data will be received and stored in real time.
