Project Summary

In this project we present smart fingerprint-based ignition in bikes. Unlike conventional key lock system that is known and can easily be broken or duplicated by thieves, this smart system provides access only to the owner using biometric. Biometric systems have overtime served as robust security mechanisms in various domains. In this we also added a Mobile Application to lock and unlock the bike.

Project Objectives

The main objective of the fingerprint is to be free from keys for the bikes and avoid the unauthorized use. No need to carry the keys to open the lock. Or even there is no need to remember the password or any Pin number. Also, the biggest advantage of this system is that it is flexible to be upgrade in future.

Benefits of the Project

Motorbikes are a popular form of transport in Pakistan especially in traffic-congested cities; one major drawback is the high rate of motorcycle theft. The main problem is security and authorization of bike and this project Smart Bike Lock will limit the cause of motorcycle theft. The main reason for using this, the fingerprint biometric which cannot be matched of any two people. So, it results in accurate result for verifying the owner of the vehicle. Also, if due to some weather condition or injury the sensor don’t work, then the user can get access through Bluetooth mobile connectivity.
