Project Summary

The main purpose of this project is to find a solution for the railway line crossings on the main roads in Pakistan. The old manual methods are very slow and always consist of safety risks. The manual systems work by the gatekeeper to close the gate on the railway crossing at the arrival of the train at nearby stations. There are several railway crossings that don’t have a railway crossing gate and the gatekeepers thus it is common to have accidents on these railway crossings.
 Our purpose system will help with these problems.

Smart Automatic Railway Gate Controlling Using Arduino and Steel Curbs” is a modest but very useful scheme, which allows the railway barrier to open and close robotically when the train is detected. It requires programming the process of railway gate control to totally avoid human interference at level junctions. It would help resolve the issues faced by the manual systems and decreases the losses/accidents.  The proposed system “Smart Automatic Railway Gate Controlling Using Arduino and Steel Curbs” would force stop the traffic by pulling down the barriers before the train approaches the crossings.
2. PROBLEM STATEMENT
This project apparently contracts with one of the greatest public problems is traffic jams besides a railway crossing.  The manually operated railway crossing requires a 24/7 gatekeeper and this gatekeeper needs to be contacted with the staff at nearby stations all the time. The staff would inform the gatekeeper at the arrival of the trains at the nearby stations, after getting information from the staff the gatekeeper will immediately close the gate at the railway crossing. It will stop the flow of traffic for a certain period (sometimes it takes more time than usual due to the crossing of two trains at the nearby train stations) which results in traffic jams and waste of time.
The second major problem, there are many railway crossings that don’t have a railway crossing gate and the gatekeepers as well therefore, it is common to have accidents at these railway crossings

Project Objectives

  • The main objective of this project to reduce the road acident & also provide us to reduce the hours of gate man .
  • Time limit is more important in our project through automatic railway gate.we will reduce time waste.
  • we can save humman life through this automatic project.
  • railway autoamtic gate keeps traffic control

Project Implementation Method

frist of all we buy all material  related to project then we focus on our proposal and start work on project first of all we make the base of project and install all equipments of prroject according to diagram then we install sotware on aurdino and run the project.
