Smart Attendance System is Android and web-based application which will develop for daily student attendance in schools, colleges, and institutes. It facilitates to access the attendance information of a particular student in a particular class. The information is sorted in a cloud database by using the QR Code technology, which will be provided by the teacher for a particular class. This system will also help in evaluating attendance eligibility criteria of a student.

Project Objectives

QR Code Based Smart Attendance System (OAS) will be taking and storing the attendance of all students on a daily basis within the academic organization. It facilitates online access to the attendance of each student in a particular class. This system is to computerize the traditional way of recording attendance and provide an efficient and automated method to track the attendance of all students in an institution.

Project Implementation Method

We will be using Microsoft visual studio and Android studio IDE on besides will be using ASP.Net framework, C#, Java and JavaScript to develop QR code base (OAS). In this system, QR-code shall be provided by staff for each class on particular date and time where all the students will scan this QR code via a smartphone app at the same time as online directly and the back-end data will be stored on Web Server. This system will be designed using the Model, View, and Controller (MVC) architecture as an advanced approach.

Benefits of the Project

This Smart attendance system (SAS) could be implemented by various means in all types of educational institutions, companies, Industries, hospitals, banks, office management or even in government official work purposes. This software will design in such a way that provides special idea about managing, controlling, updating or count down the appearance and disappearance of students, workers members or government officials records. But everything in this era could be modified in various directions according to their further usage same like that this designed application could be brought to modification process to get maximum benefits as according to the required tasks to be accomplished.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This project will be finally delivered to the head of department as an FYP (final year project ) in BBSUL institution.
