Project Summary

We have seen and reviewed already existing applications and concluded that these applications could not meet the needs of consumers. All of them are made only for specific organization or company. There is no water level detection system to notify the consumer about their water tank level. They can only be used for booking a water tanker. There is no concept for registering supplier as well. And consumer cannot monitor live location of water tanker. Therefore we have proposed Smart Aqua Monitoring And Supply System “SAMSS” which will provide all these facilities and it will help consumers as well as suppliers of water tanker. A person can register as a consumer or supplier on the app. A water level detector sensor will be installed in consumer’s water tank, which will detect the level of water and notify the consumer on a specific level through the application and then consumer can place order for water tanker. Consumer will have options to place an order automatically. The nearest supplier can accept the order of consumer and will delivered the water tanker on consumer’s location. Consumer can also monitor the live location of water tanker after placing an order. This system is not for single organization or company but can be used by any consumer and supplier.

Project Objectives

The System (SAMSS) should maintain and monitor each and everything from supplier to consumer to fulfill their requirement. The system (SAMSS) should be able to select supplier based on their rating for consumer. The system (SAMSS) should be able to have online payment method. Consumer should be able to view nearest suppliers. Consumer should be able to book tanker as an order. Consumer should be able to contact with Supplier ordered tanker. Consumer Should be able to receive an alert notification about the tank water level status. Supplier and Consumer should be able to register. Supplier should be able to view consumer location. Supplier should be able to contact with consumer.

Project Implementation Method

Hardware Interfaces

TOOLS- Ardinuo (ESP8266), Ultrasonic Sensor.

The program will communicate with the database via the appropriate dart code and to connect Ardinuo (ESP8266) to get water tank status using ultrasonic sensor. The user can communicate through a browser using the keyboard and a display through a graphical interface displayed on the user’s screen. User mobile device will use its pre-existing hardware interfaces such as network connection. The operating system of the mobile device must be above android 4.0 or IOS 6.

Software Interfaces

TOOLS-Android studio (4.0.1).

PLATFORM: Android SDK framework, Flutter SDK Framework. IDE: Android Studio, Arduino, Visual Studio Code.

Android Emulator: SDK version 2.2 or higher. IOS Emulator: SDK version 6.

Technologies used: dart, laravel.

Google Map API

The product will host at the play store and app store. Flutter plateform which use dart programming language will define image placement, size, and overall set-up. Dart will be used to create background colors, border colors, and text display. Dart will also be used to control client-side interactions (i.e. output when the button is clicked). The firebase database will store the consumer water tank status data and other data to be displayed as output.

Benefits of the Project

As we know technology has progressed in almost every field all over the world. In today’s progressing   world,   technology   has   become   greatly   increased   in   everything    that    exists. So checking water in our water tank by removing its lid again and again and then calling the water supplier to order a tanker in this modern era is very old approach and time consuming, while you can check water level in your tank and place an order for tanker by using an application on your smart phone. By using water level detector sensor which are easily available in market at very reasonable cost, we can monitor our water tank level through an application and can place order automatically is very time efficient. This idea motivates us to work on a project which ultimately benefits both the consumer and supplier. It will save consumer’s time and also help supplier to receive customer’s order easily.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our project will work on two things , an Android/ IOS application and an ultrasonic sensor in the house water tank. The ultrasonic sensor will measure the water level in water tank and send data to firebase. This data will be fetched by consumer through application. Consumer and supplier will register in our Application Consumer will be able to check the status of water level in the tank. When water level drops from a specific point consumer will get notification about low water level. Which will help him in making decision about placing order for water tanker. While ordering water tanker our system will provide the location of consumer to the tanker supplier by using google map APIs and the supplier will have option to accept and decline the order request. when the supplier accept order request the consumer's location will be shown to him. Consumer can track supplier live by using google map APIs in our system. Admin will manage both consumer and supplier.
