Project Summary

Home Maintenance is an android application in which we aim to provide fast and responsive solutions for customers where they can search for a number of services; Electrician, Plumber, Acre pair, Mechanics, and Carpenters. The location of these service providers will be available through the map, customers will be able to contact, book, and visit (location) the service providers at the tap of a button. Users will be able to log in as either a customer or a service provider and consequently have their own menu to use the application. We did some research on the existing applications and found some applications related to this particular topic, but the issue with these applications is that they are not fully functional and they are not providing real-time map-based features. If one application has some features the other will be having different features. Therefore, in our project try to engage all the non-existing works of a fully-functional, interactive app that may exist.

Project Objectives

• It can be an IT solution for unemployment.
• This application will help those people to find work, who cannot set up their own shops.
• We will use the Urdu language as well as some others and some also cannot read Urdu. language so we can use pictures and easy icons for them to understand.
• This app will not only help the people who are living further from their home but also the people who are living in their home town as they won’t have to go to the shop to fetch anyone and sometimes the plumber is already gone for work.

Project Implementation Method

Spiral Model is selected as the SDLC model for this project to make the Development more systematic and more efficient. We use the Spiral model Because it allows for changes during the development. It is efficient and reliable and good for this project.

• Development is fast and features are added in a systematic way in Spiral development.
• There is always a space for customer feedback.
• Additional functionality or changes can be done at a later stage.

Benefits of the Project

• The scope of the application on the initial basis will be limited to electricians, Plumbers, and Painters. Which can be increased by the passage of time. By The passage of time, we can also register Labors, Doctors, etc. but at this time these categories were not a part of our project.
• The main functionalities are that; the system must work properly. There are Specific Customer Login and Specific Electrician Login.
• Easy to register for the users and the electrician/plumbers/painters too. There are different profiles for Electrician’s/Plumber’s/Painter as they lie in different categories.
• Easy way of communication means customers can directly call him by picking up the worker from his profile. Total Numbers of Electricians/Plumbers in your areas.

We are using the Dart Programming language on Flutter Tool.

Location:

We are also using GPS in our project, which helps to find the location of customers and worker

Firebase:

Firebase is the database provided by Google, its efficiency rate is high and highly recommended for flutter development
