In the era of Artificial Intelligence, everyone is dependent on technology; and technological revolution has made our lives easier in every aspect. However, a sheer amount of consumer interest is towards tech which makes lives easier therefore home automation will be the future in coming years. The idea of Self Regulating Home adds Convenience, Comfort, and Peace of Mind. It also includes home security such as access control and alarm systems. This project also focuses on home security system which will be wireless. Home automation is utilized by using appropriate sensors installed around the house. Utilizing home automation could lead to more efficient and intelligent energy saving techniques. Also assistive technology, compassionately allows people to maintain control over their daily activities.
There are three main objectives of this project are as follows:
This project is divided into three main phases. The first phase is to review relevant work and getting familiar with sensors, secondly designing basic prototypes using real time data and simultaneously designing basic fuzzy implemented prototypes on MATLAB. Further we will be integrating both hardware and software based prototypes and analyzes results under practical conditions and the final phase is the testing of final prototype.
The idea behind the smart home is for personal security and could lead to energy saving measures with a positive environmental impact in the future. In this project the existing appliances are automated and remotely accessed through mobile application. The system is completely efficient along a decision system using fuzzy logic which may comprise the safety measure in the integrated system. The application is user friendly and easy to maintain control over automated appliances. The fuzzy logical decision making setup will be evaluating every action of the system.
The proposed project is based on fuzzy logic for virtual decision purpose while for the implementation; raspberry pi module acts as a server for the NodeMCU’s working smoothly with the sensor and for the automation of appliances. The intelligent decision making system will also be based on fuzzy logic, using MATLAB. However the decision making system will comprise security measures in the home automation. The end delivery will be closed loop hardware and software integrated system working together in real-time.
