This application encrypts the text or text file in an image and also decrypts the text or text file from image. It has dual modules Encryption and Decryption. In encryption, the sender takes image from gallery or from iPhone camera and then write the text, give the password for more protection and press the lock Info button so the text hide in image and ready to share. However, in decryption the receiver get the encrypted image from gallery and press the decode button by assigning the password and press the Unlock File button so the text show on the screen.
Project ObjectivesThe major aim of developing this project is to let users to have a different experience of data hiding in Stegano Image. It is a Mobile Application in which user can hide text and text files with in an image upon request image can be decrypted and a text and text file can be viewed this system is a manual system which does provide to hide the text files and facilities for the viewer to see the image instead of text files.
Project Implementation MethodThe following formula provides a very generic description of the pieces of the Stegano Image process:
Cover Medium + Hidden Data + Stegano key = Stegano medium
In this context, the cover medium is the file in which we will hide the data, Hidden Data are data, which we want to hide, which may also be encrypted using the stegano key, and the stegano medium is the resultant file. In Stegano Image the cover medium is image file.
In this application steganography is used. Using steganography we can hide the original message in a hidden format. So that the hacker even cannot expect that there some message present in it.
In this first us original data embed into an image using steganography. This message is transferred in network. At destination we retrieve the data from image.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableSteganography is the technique of hiding secret data in an image, audio and video and text. There are the three different carrier file formats used, but digital images are the most popular because of their frequency on the Internet. For hiding secret information in images, there exists a large variety of steganographic techniques some are more complex than others and all of them have respective strong and weak points. Different applications have different requirements of the steganography technique used. For example, some applications may require absolute invisibility of the secret information, while others require a larger secret message to be hidden.
