RydeX aims to provide an easy and affordable way of moving from one place to another either by renting a car or by sharing a ride with other people going in the same direction. A person-to-person platform for renting cars which provides a means of transportation to one and on the same time provides a source of passive income to the other person. And when you don't need to hire a car, you can share a ride with someone.

RydeX is aimed at improving the means of transportation for the common man and in the process also helps to decrease the carbon footprint. 

Project Objectives

Goal is to complete the project before October,2021. Three apps(iOS + Android + Web) will be developed by using React Native, Google Maps API and Google Cloud.

RydeX will have two modules:

1. Car Rental
2. Car Share

Scope

• This project involves developing a platform for people to rent their cars to other people effortlessly.
• Provide a way for people to commute together safely, affordably and comfortably. 
• Understand and implement the concepts of geolocation tracking and ride sharing route feasibility. 

Project Implementation Method

This project would be based upon Agile Process Model. Initially, a web app will be developed which will enable the rental feature of our project. Later on, Google Cloud and Maps API will be used to develop the route feasibility checking for our project, which then will be made into mobile apps as a complete package. 

Benefits of the Project

• RydeX will introduce a comprehensive ride sharing platform in the country which will ease transport, reduce traffic and fuel consumption along with carbon emissions.
• One of its type, person-to-person rental platform which will change the way a car is rented. 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

• Cloud based application which utilizes GPS for location and route matching.
• Integrated car rental and ride sharing modules within the application.
