The aim of this project is to develop an Android application using geographical location to provide services to customers based on the knowledge of their current location. Commonly it isn't confirmed that we will be present at the particular area for which we have set the reminder. Rather it is gainful if the notice or alert triggers when we are really present close or at that particular area. The user can associate its list with a specific location, so that he/she receives a notification whenever he/she is near or at the location. To help individuals remember something at a particular time and area, this smart Location Reminder is a boon. The system uses free, open API benefit from Google Maps. Timely reminder diminishes chances of missing the area of interest and task to be reminded can be performed on wanted time and at specific area. Also ease of search is accomplished by finding nearby places of interest.

Project Objectives

the objective of the FYP is to develop a simplest possible smart-phone application which serves as a smart reminder which associates the user with a specific geo-location, just when you need them. The app isn't as complex as the big names in this space. However, it would be one of the best simple reminder apps for personal use.

The largest challenge in successfully creating an App for the domain of this project is that as inherntly the age increases, familiarity with the latest technology decreases. Therefore, there’s a need to create an app that is extremely easy to use, even for users with declining motor skills, eyesight, and memory. The app will have to be effortlessly accessible, easy to operate, while avoiding letting the user unintentionally modify it.
