Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryWe're making the smart vehicle communication system which will be IoT based and it will alert the nearby vehicles where the vehicle will to turn. We are making prototype and it is consists of two system one will be installed in one vehicle and the other system will be installed in the second vehicle for demonstration purpose. In this project we require two raspberry pi boards GSM plus GPS Shields for raspberry pi and power supplies connections and some other electronic models for raspberry pi for assembling this project.
Project Objectives- Communication of vehicles through IoT.
- Safety of Passengers.
- Real-time Location and information.
- Speed/Condition/turning indication of the vehicle from upto 1KM far.
We will be making this prototype for two vehicles on initial basis.
The one system will be installed in vehicle A and the other system will be installed in vehicle B, if the vehicle B is nearby the vehicle A will get the notification that this vehicle B is approaching to the vehicle A and it will show the speed distance and turning indication that where the vehicle wants to turn, on the screen. It will just not only improve the vehicle travelling at night and in the bad weather like fog, but it will also make the travelling and commutation safer on the roads on regular days.
General public and every commuter can have benefit of this system. This will increase the safety parameters of the roads by communicating the vehicles and alerting the drivers of the vehicles by the condition of the other nearby vehicles.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableWe will be using 2 raspberry pi development boards in this prototype with GSM & GPS shields and some wiring connections of board with LCD for raspberry pi to display the message, transducers for the indication and other accessories like power supplies connections and frames etc.
The whole circuit will be running on 12v DC and will be drawing current less then 1 amps.
